Convenient Access to Everywhere
Chrisanns Beach Resort is two hours away from Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay. The resort is in walking distance from some of Ocho Rios' finest attractions. Just across the street are restaurants, a supermarket and a car rental agency. Experience local folk arts & crafts in Harmony Hall, a converted old plantation house, which hosts special art gallery exhibitions. There is also a fresh produce farmers’ market just down the road every Friday, with a wide variety of fresh Jamaican fruits and vegetables. With an easy ride into the town center of Ocho Rios, you can visit a crafts market, shop for souvenirs, duty free jewelry and other goodies at the Island Village plaza. Relax at Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville Restaurant and Lounge, right on the beach at Island Village. You can visit museums such as the Reggae Museum in Island Village, and the world-famous Dunn’s River Falls and Park. Ocho Rios has many restaurants: Italian, Chinese, international, Indian, and Jamaican. Every June, the town hosts a local jazz festival that brings together jazz musicians from across the island. You'll find other attractions in Ocho Rios such as horseback riding, bamboo rafting and Dolphin Cove, where you can swim and interact with dolphins, sharks, and stingrays in their natural habitat. Visit Mystic Mountain for an awesome eco-tourism experience, complete with canopy bridges and zip line rides above a tropical rain forest. Tour a working citrus plantation at the Prospect Plantation Tour, go kayaking down the White River, or go mountain biking on trails nearby. Five minutes away is Reggae beach where you can enjoy local and/or beach-type cuisine. Just 45 minutes from Ocho Rios is the birthplace of Bob Marley: Nine Miles, where you can visit his mausoleum and museum. Ocho Rios is also close to St. Ann's Bay’s New Seville, the site where Christopher Columbus first landed in Jamaica. Here you can visit a historical museum and ruins of early Spanish settlements dating back to the 15th century.
