We don’t simply make travel “Muslim-friendly.” We create journeys through a Muslim lens—into the heart of places, histories and communities you might never encounter on a conventional tour.

We’ve been working on our South Africa Retreat for the past year, and we’re so excited to finally begin sharing it with you! 🇿🇦✨

We’ve carefully selected an incredible retreat centre in Cape Town, where we’ll gather for an intimate and immersive experience.

Mustafa Briggs will be joining us to teach about the history of Islam in South Africa and the region, giving us the opportunity to explore a part of Muslim history that is often overlooked.

Beyond the classroom, you’ll immerse yourself in authentic South African culture, discovering its rich history, traditions, food, communities and landscapes.

As always, our promise is simple: an authentic, local and intimate experience — and we deliver on that promise.

Do you know what we like to do when we have a little bit of downtime on a Retreat?

We inspect new hotels, explore new places, meet local business owners, and constantly look for the next special place we can bring you.

On our latest trip, we discovered a beautiful little gem on the western side of Jamaica, and we cannot wait to bring you here. 🇯🇲

As you know, it’s incredibly important to our ethos to support locally owned businesses — especially in the Caribbean, where so much of the tourism dollar leaves the region. In fact, it’s estimated that for every $100 spent in the Caribbean, only about $20 stays within the local economy.

We’re looking to disrupt that model.

That means intentionally supporting locally owned transportation companies, hotels, farmers, restaurants, guides, artisans, and businesses wherever we can. We want your travel dollars to do more than simply fund a vacation — we want them to contribute to the communities we visit.

We’re currently working on a really fun summer getaway for July, and we’re excited to share more details with you soon.

Our Jamaica Retreat is March 15–22, which means you have seven months to get organized.

The Retreat is US$2,450.

Your deposit is US$300, leaving US$2,150.

Divide that into five payments and you’re looking at US$430 per payment.

We structure our payments this way intentionally. We want to give you time to plan, save, purchase your flight, and get everything organized without feeling like you have to come up with the entire amount at once.

You can choose when you make your payments, as long as your balance is paid 30–60 days before the Retreat.

And Jamaica is for singles, couples, and families with children over 10.

This isn’t just a vacation. It’s our signature Retreat — Jamaica is home base for Burgundy Roots, and this one is going to be filled with adventure, connection, movement, beautiful experiences, good food, and plenty of moments you’ll be talking about long after you return. 🌴
