Thanks to our water recycling and natural composting systems, we’re proud to see the first of many plantain trees thriving by the sea.
Sustainably self watered and self fertilised, this is just the beginning of our coastal food forest.
One love from Treasure Beach.

Beautiful rustic rooms at Lashings. Using local materials and decor designed by Jamaican artists. Each one is carefully curated to give maximum space and enable the wonderful cool sea breeze to permeate.

Some more photos from the Prime Minister’s visit to Treasure Beach at the weekend. It was a privilege to host him at Lashings.
The Most Honourable Andrew Holness MP was in St Elizabeth to launch a new irrigation scheme, which will benefit local farmers in the Pedro Plains area.
With thanks to our local MP Floyd Green for all his efforts to facilitate this.

Lashings Boutique Hotel and Villas was built by the former owner of the Lashings All Star international cricket team David Folb. With spectacular views, rustic-chic rooms, a trendy bar and restaurant, there’s a lot to love.
Situated on a cliff overlooking Breds Treasure Beach Sports Park – a 17-acre community hub where more than 1,500 local athletes play sports – Lashings enjoys superb views of the sparkling Caribbean Sea.
The buzzy Jack Sprat bar and restaurant, aka the nexus of Treasure Beach, is a 650m walk away, as are other local institutions such as Smurf’s Cafe. Excursions to the offshore Pelican Bar, Black River, YS Falls and Appleton Estate can easily be arranged.
Lashings oozes rustic luxury from its position tumbling down the hillside: think slatted louvre windows, gleaming white walls, plantation chairs, stripped back wooden floors and a large restaurant and bar that sit on a wooden deck designed to maximise the vistas of both the sea and the property’s gorgeous infinity pool below.
The architecture and décor incorporate local arts and crafts (much of which is for sale should guests be interested) in a celebration of the culture of Jamaica.
Staff members are professional yet friendly and always on hand to take guests around Treasure Beach in distinctive open-top, jet-black Jeeps.
Standout facilities include the Instagram-worthy infinity pool, small library (“read, return, repeat” is the mantra) and lively tree-top bar. The bar is a great spot to catch up on all the big football action back home via Sky Sports (owner David Folb is an enthusiastic Chelsea fan) or meet fellow travellers over a game of pool.
Accommodation consists of 18 rooms boasting king-sized beds and en-suite bathrooms, five villas and, for those looking to splash out, a two-bedroom penthouse apartment on the top level.
No two rooms or villas are exactly alike yet all ooze personality, adding to the charm and appeal of the property. Signature touches include doors adorned with local murals, soft white walls with dark shutters, and open-plan bathrooms.
Lashings restaurant is decked out with rattan and teak furniture and is open for breakfast through until lunch and dinner. The lunch and evening menu (available until 11pm) ranges from seafood to sandwiches, salads, burgers and local dishes such as the ubiquitous jerk chicken – plus a couple of token vegetarian noodle dishes. Breakfast is a bargain and the à la carte menu covers all the bases: pancakes, fresh fruit, eggs etc.
Even if you don’t eat at Lashings, be sure to patronise the plant-festooned bar where it’s impossible to have a bad time being stuffed full of laughter and people. Bar snacks such as nachos, fritters and wings are available but many visit just for drinks. The generous happy hour runs from 4.30-7.30pm offering two-for-one on old friends – and a few more inventive options.
