Local beer! You wouldn’t think that Jordan is a county that has a Local beer let alone a Brewery, but since the establishment of our first micro-brewery in the Kingdom Carakale not only you can drink the local beer in every bar in Amman You can have a unique experience in the tasting room of the micro-brewery located on the edges of the town of Fuheis with a view overlooking the blue canyon that takes your breath away with an even better view beyond the ceiling high windows between the tasting room and the brewery that grants you access to the process of making the local beer. They don’t offer food but you can order food to the Brewery or Get your own meats and Veggies and use the barbeque deck to prepare the food.
Just set back, relax and mingling with your friends while drinking the Carakale beer and enjoy the serenity of the perfectly chosen location.

A small pizzeria called Oliva sits on the end of al Baouniyyeh Street just around the corner of the busy street, a little hide-away Italian restaurant with a few tables and stools if you’d like to eat in. It’s definitely a place that you can’t overlook and it’s very hard to resist it with its wooden tables placed on the street side with blue bottles filled with rosemary during the hot summer days, and during the chilly afternoons in the autumn just choosing strategically placed stools next to the kitchen and cash drawer where You’ll lose track of time while watching the employees spreading the dough and topping it with the fresh ingredients’ then placing it in the oven, You’ll feel warm and loosen up the wrapped scarf around your nick.

After a hectic day a friendly face with a warm smile is all you need so just walk in and place your order with the cashier then choose a table to sit, the food doesn’t take more than 15 minutes to be served you’ll not only tame your appetite but you can indulge in a crispy edged fresh out of the oven pizza topped with fresh basil with an irresistible smell .

Diwan Al Douk is one of the oldest buildings in downtown Amman, built in 1924,it was the former building of the first post office in Amman, nowadays Mr.Mamdouh Bisharat the Duke of Mukheiheh opened the house for the public saying “ allowing everyone to enjoy the beauty of this house, is my way to give back to my Amman“.

As every house used to have a section that is always open to guests, Calling it “Diwan” and opening this house to give you the chance not only to admire it from the outside but you will also have the chance to explore the house from the inside and walk around the rooms, Would be the perfect way to share his passion for the city.

Starting from the moment you open the huge wooden door, and take you first step on the perfectly patterned tiles, you’ll have the chance to experience the 20’s architecture sense.
From the blue walls with arched windows that goes up to the ceiling, to the small balcony overlooking the busy streets of down town, you will definitely lose track of time.

In Amman the food is part of every great experience you go through and the majorities will definitely say that Salaheddin Bakery is one of the places you don’t want to miss during your visit at any time of the day their fresh out of the oven sesame seed rolls are mouth watering.

For decades this small bakery has been a great stop as the employees start by cutting the dough in to portions and then they cover it with sesame seeds after that they place them in the oven and you can see the entire process and enjoy the smell after that all you have to do is to take a fresh roll and choose the filling. You can fill the roll with backed eggs, cheese or Za’atar or just mix all three and enjoy the flavor.

Darat Mosaic Art "دارة فن الفسيفساء"

Mosaics have a long history as it was used to decorate the walls and ceilings since the Greek and Roman times and now this small place in Jabal Al-Weibdeh will not only give you the chance to buy handmade mosaics but you can learn how to make it with the help of an expert it's a great experience since it will not be just another souvenir it's an enriching experience and a great way to remember your visit to Jordan

You can book a day in advance or early in the same day to have a training session in making mosaics or clay painting you can spend around two hours at the shop making your piece of art ,The mosaic price range is between 20 to 70 JOD for the small to medium sized piece and you can collect it in the same day after they clean it for you and the clay painting price range it between 10 to 45 JOD for small to medium sized piece it needs up to 3 days for you to collect since it needs to be dried and placed in a special oven
