⚡NEW TOUR FOR 2026! - Central Hokkaido Backcountry Tour. If you are looking for an exploratory style backcountry adventure deep into Hokkaido’s famed Powder Belt – this is it. For the first 3 nights based in Furano we will explore the southern Daisetsuzan and Hidaka Mountains, before heading up to Asahikawa for 5 nights where we we can push even further north into a variety of zones off the beaten path.

We’re excited to be able to provide this great new way for you to spend more days in the Central Hokkaido region and it’s endless backcountry. All of a sudden it's April and we've wrapped up another season in Japan, with endless amazing powder days and the smiles that go along with it! ⚡Stay tuned in the coming weeks as we begin to release dates and prices for our 2025/26 Tours⚡ and begin taking bookings.

In the meantime we'd like to say a big thanks to all of you who joined us for Japow days across our Tours, Guiding, Lessons and Powder Discovery days, Avalanche Courses and Guided Travel Packages! Skiing and riding Japan's amazing pow all winter is a real treat, but being able to share it with all of you powder lovers is a privilege and keeps things in perspective... we'll never tire of hearing "that was the deepest run of my life..."!

A huge thanks to the whole Whiteroom team as well, who work hard to keep the powder machine cranking - our bar and cafe staff, rentals team, on ground operations, instructors, guides, guest services, base coordinators and travel team.
