The founder (Kenzo Saito) is from Akita Prefecture, and TDK Corporation has had a production base in the prefecture since its founding days. In April 2026, they carried out a major renewal of the 'TDK Museum'.
This facility offers a fun experience where you can learn about TDK's technology and its connections to society, including the "Ferrite Tree" where generative AI projects your vision of the future, an interactive theater in collaboration with the globally popular "teamLab," and "Connection Zone" exhibits related to global hubs. In the restaurant next door, you can enjoy cuisines from around the world linked to the exhibition with fresh ingredients unique to Akita.
