【we had Ayabe tour🇨🇭】
先週の暑い日に涼しい山の国スイスからご家族7名が綾部に日帰りでお越しいただき、仁の緒さんのお茶体験に参加してくれました。

今年のスイスは暑いそうですが、日本の暑さ経験したらスイス帰ったら涼しいかもと元気に茶園散策、の後は簡易版茶香服に挑戦。
みなさんお茶の種類あたったり、外れたり一喜一憂しながら、最高得点者はお抹茶プレゼント！

綾部茶を購入もされ、スイスでお茶楽しんでください！

We had tea tour in Ayabe for the guests from Switzerland.
At the beginning, we worried about the heat.
Of it is hotter than Swiss, but it is hotter in Switzerland as well this year. Most of people didn’t prepare for it.
They were so optimistic that they will feel cooler in Swiss after they experience Japanese heat.

As for the tour, we walked the tea plantation and learnt about it from the tea farmer Sakurai san.
Then get back to the hall to have tea tasting game. It was fun!
We drunk 4 different kinds of tea and guess it is GYOKURO, or BANCHA or else.
So that even it is from same original plants, depends on the process, it is becoming different flavors.
The person who got correct answer more received MATCHA powder from their farm.

After tea workshop, we visited KONOHANA AN in OMOTO Japanese garden and get rest a bit and explain about Japanese architecture.

【we had Ayabe your for 2 days】
今週は月（午前午後）火水金とガイドのお仕事。
まずは、月曜日午前は楮餅体験を10名の香港の方と🇭🇰暑い中みなさんがんばってくれました。

そして翌日は、若宮酒造の酒蔵見学と試飲。
夢酒蔵株式会社
そして、茶つぼさんでのお抹茶体験と盛りだくさん。綾部の良いところ見てもらいました。ありがとうございます。

This week we have 5 tour going on in Ayabe.
First of all, we had 10 traveler from Hong Kong.
on Monday, after the rain, it was best timing to pound KOZO MOCHI.
And on Tuesday, we visited WAKAMIYA SAKE brewery and learn about SAKE from UENO san who is meister of SAKE. We enjoyed tasting DAIGINJYI GENSHI.

Then before lunch, we had AYABE MATCHA making experience.

We are happy to show them a piece of Ayabe this time.

【we had WASHI & MOCHI tour in Ayabe】
6月の一週目はアメリカからのお客さま続き。ご家族で初の日本旅行！都会の喧騒忘れて1日綾部へ。
午前中楮をつかった黒谷和紙の体験。午後楮を使ったお餅つきと実食！つきたてのお餅は売ってるお餅と全然違う！形は歪ですが、みんなで作って楽しいひとときでした。
ありがとうございました。

First week in June, it is American week.
Another American family came to Ayabe for a day trip.
We appreciate that they spent one day from their precious itinerary.

We had a great day and taste delicious MOCHI which is totally different from the supermarket.

【we had WASHI and MOCHI tour in Ayabe】
6月も多くの方が綾部にお越しいただき、様々な体験をしていただいております。中にはもしかしたら綾部初？！のラトビアのご家族もいらっしゃいました。

この日はアメリカ人の親子。息子さんの卒業旅行とのこと。子供が大きくなっても旅行できるって良いですね。
和紙の体験では青が好きな息子さんの青い和紙に注目です。
楽しい1日をありがとうございました。

We had many travelers visiting in Ayabe in Jun.
I recognize that the city is located in really good place.
2 American traveler came to Ayabe for WASHI making and KOZO(paper mulberry) MOCHI pounding experience. It was her son’s graduation trip.
I am happy to be in such a memorable moment.
It was such a lovely day always chatting and laughing.

【we had a day tour in Ayabe🇬🇧】
先週は、田植えイベントが日月あり、そして、火曜日は体験なしのございます黒谷和紙の工房見学。

そして水曜日は、イギリスより素敵なカップルが、和紙の体験、工房見学、そして午後は楮餅体験。
昨年同ツアーに参加された方からの紹介ということで、少しづつ口コミが広がってありがたいです。

We had a couple from UK. They are introduced our activity from other traveler.
Recently people came back for the second time or introduce us to others. We feel very happy to show our city and the life here.

Last week, we had MOCHI rice planting workshop on Sun and Mon, and On the Tue, there are other traveler comes for learning about KUROTANI WASHI.

【we had a full day tour in Ayabe】
先週はイギリスからお二人と、カナダからカップルを綾部ツアーに案内しました。

イギリスからきた素敵なお二人！映画に出てきそうなカップルでした。そのホリーさんは洋紙をつくられているということで、和紙に興味津々。紙を漉くだけでなく重ねていく行程も挑戦！

午後、そんな和紙の原料楮（こうぞ）を使った餅つきを上林で行いました。初めてのお二人息ぴったり！ayabe

We had a great day with 2 people from UK.
They joined in our Ayabe full day tour, getting to know KOZO.
Kozo is kind of mulberry using for WASHI paper mostly.
So in the tour, they make WASHI(Japanese paper) in the morning. Since Holly makes pulp paper(we call YOSHI, literally western paper)
So she learnt deference of both paper. Chatting with a craftsman made her question clearly.
In the afternoon you had MOCHI making.
MOCHI is simply made from rice. And during steaming process, we can add different flavor.
And here we have KOZO once again for MOCHI.
They pound MOCHI so hard which makes really sticky MOCHIY texture.

【綾部半日ツアー】
先週はオーストラリアから素敵なお二人を黒谷和紙と綾部街中半日ツアーにご案内。
合気道をされているということだったので、駅前の盛平翁の石碑でまずは記念撮影。和紙の体験含め趣旨和かに過ごされ、列車で京都に帰られました。
ありがとうございました。

We had a nice couple from Australia.
Dean practice AIKIDO so we took a photo at Ayabe station where the AIKIDO monument stands.
Then had WASHI workshop and tour around the facility to learn about it.
There is another guest who join in the tour but we talk and laugh a lot. It was such a happy day.

【we had tours in Ayabe】
4月に入っても、多くの方が黒谷和紙含む綾部の日帰りツアー体験にお越しいただいています。

ますば第1週
①ロイスさん親娘はアメリカから。ガーデニングを営むということで、黒谷での和紙の体験のあと、楮餅体験、茅葺きの家や里山を楽しんでいただきました。

②チェコから七人のカメラ撮影ツアー、ランチは二王の栖で、地元食材を食し、撮影に挑んでもらいました。

③そして4/4はドイツから手漉きで洋紙を作るカップル。いろいろなところから紙を集めて再利用として、紙漉きしているそうです。アートとしても作られたり、学生に体験も提供しているそう。一度体験してみたいです。

We had guests for day trip in Ayabe.
It is becoming good season and Ayabe is only 1 hour distance from Kyoto. So it is good getaway from hustle city life.

For the first week in Apr, we had 3 unique and nice people here.

1. Lois and her daughter came to Ayabe to have WASHI workshop and KOZO mochi pounding.
Lois loves nature and gardening, so I showed authentic Japanese satoyama view.

2. Seven people from Czech came for photo tour.
They rent a car from Miyazu to Ayabe then Kyoto. Our interpreter explain about local made lunch at NIO NO SHMIKA and WASHI process while they’re taking photos.

3. A nice German couple came to KUROTANI WASHI. They make pulp paper from paper.
It is really interesting that they notice some of the tools are similar to WASHI, for some other process, they use different tools.
They collect paper from many places to make paper, and have some workshop as well.
Definitely we will come to try it.

なんと誕生日に京都からか日帰りで綾部に来て、

初日本、初綾部ということで、目一杯文化、食について紹介しました！

We had WASHI and Mochi workshop last week.
This is her first time visit in Japan.
And she came to Ayabe from Kyoto for one day trip on her birthday!
Hopefully she had a relaxing one day and remember the special birthday here in Ayabe.

【we had Ayabe tour !】
先週も一組黒谷和紙へご案内。変わった和紙漉きたいということで、水と指で様々円を表現。
どんな和紙になるか楽しみ。

とおもっていると、早速届いた和紙の写真を送ってくれました。とても良いデザインです！

We had a guests from Germany last week for Ayabe tour.
We had WASHI workshop, Japanese traditional thatched house and Matcha making lunch.

She made really unique WASHI making, using a hose to drop water, or using finger to make really thin layer.
I have never seen guest try this. I was wondering how it would be.
And yesterday she sent me photo of WASHI she made.
It is really different style. Very cool.
