この煙を見ると、
あいつの笑顔を思い出す
はじまりは、
弟が出した小さな屋台
「兄ちゃん、一緒にやってほしい」
そう言われて、
私は家業を畳んだ
屋台を引き、店を出し、
やがて、屋台は車になった
呼ばれる場所も増えていき
仲間も増えた
弟は表に立ち、
私は裏で支えた
気づけば、ここまで来ていた
新しく建てた工場。
楽しみにしていた弟は
隣には、いない
それでも、
黒のれんが揺れると、
人が集まる
今日のごはんが決まる
香ばしく焼ける、つくね
手早く返る串
煙の向こうに、広がる匂い
「笑顔のやきとり」
なあ、この煙、
そっちにも届いてるだろ…
