Oga hasu (Lotus) is at its peak now. Oga Hasu is named after Prof. Oga who discovered old seeds from old stratum which is 2000 years old in Chiba. Now these flowers are planted in Chiba Park.

Today's Tokyo Tower.
The model of Tokyo tower is the Effel Tower, but with slighly taller than the Effel Tower. It was made of steels, a third of which was scrap metal from U.S. tank which was used in Korean War, and has been a symbol of rebirth of Japan from World War Two.
It had been tallest tower in Japan until 2012, when the current tallest tower, SKYTREE, which is 634 tall was built.
Yet, it draws a lot of tourists from all over the world.

Rainy Season
Rainy season will be coming soon.
Japan has four clear-cut season with rainy season between Spring and Summer. It starts from middle of June and lasts about a month.

moss phlox
Moss phlox is in full bloom.
It looks like pink blanket covering mountain. We recommend to go to "Fuji Shiba zakura festival", which is held from 13th April to 26th May. There you can see whole Mt. Fuji, right down to the base colored with pink.

Fresh green
Now is the best season to stay outside after ascetic view of cherry blossom. It is the best timing to travel around.
Here are carp streamers hung in the sky. It is believed that carp is auspicious animal and symbol for courage. That is why we have custom to hoist it on children's day (May 5th)
