Hello everyone, we hope you're all well!

You may or may not have gotten some emails from us in the recent past (we sent out 3, including a 4th today) asking our previous applicants for evaluating tours and experiences to fill out a google form in preparation for upcoming free opportunities and potential expansion of this community!

This may be already very clear to many of you, but just for the sake of clarity, here is a brief reminder of what we mentioned in those previous emails (or, a summary of what we are doing for those who did not receive an email):

We are contacting those who have applied for or joined our previous, mock tours/experiences in order to consolidate our database and be able to easily offer more exclusive experiences to those people in the future! The usual routine is to join the tours, enjoy yourself, and provide some honest, helpful feedback. That's it! It's usually a pretty fun experience, and transportation is covered beyond the meeting point.

These experiences are not limited to any region, so we are happy to welcome those from all parts of Japan. We are trying to advocate for dispersing tourism outside of the typical spots and against over-tourism in general, so don't feel like you need to live in a metropolitan area!

The only true requirements are fluency in English and residency in Japan! And the more we get to know you the better we can pair you to experiences that you’d do well evaluating (foodies will likely be paired with experiences that are focused around food, for example).

Ideally, we would like to expand this community more, but there is still much development in progress. If you want to be a part of that, filling out this form is the first step and only takes a few minutes!

1. Tour Highlights
In 2025, Kan'ei-ji Temple in Ueno will celebrate its 400th anniversary. To mark this special occasion, why not experience a unique tour that combines traditional cultural experiences with engaging digital content?

Kan'ei-ji Temple is a historic site where you can truly feel the legacy of the Sh**un. During the tour, you'll have the opportunity to participate in a traditional tea ceremony and be guided by a monk through areas typically closed to the public.

2. Tour Schedule
① September 2nd (Tuesday)
・Meeting Time/Place: 12:45pm Station (Park Entrance) or Nippori Station (North Exit)
・Ending Time/Place: 4pm @ Yanaka Ginza or Ueno Park

② September 4th (Thursday)
・Meeting Time/Place: 12:45pm Station (Park Entrance) or Nippori Station (North Exit)
・Ending Time/Place: 4pm @ Yanaka Ginza or Ueno Park

※ We will let you know the details of this tour after everything is decided. (We are still in the process of making a perfect tour for you all!)

3. Experience Highlights
・AR / VR contents: Experience Ueno in the past through digital modern technology.
・Rare Opportunity: You will have time to communicate with a monk.
・Tea Ceremony: A tea experience that even many Japanese people have never had.
・Exploring Temples: Get to know the real, inside of the temple with a monk that no one usually can go in.
・Town Walk: Explore the charm of downtown Japan called "SH*TAMACHI" by peeking into some local shops.

4. Requirements
・Must submit a review after participation.
・Preference will be given to those who can share their experience on social media.
・Must answer a survey after the tour.
