Hanami-yama is one of the most famous spots to see cherry blossoms in Fukushima and was created by local farmers over a long period of time. Every March as plum blossoms begin to bloom, approximately 70 types of flowers including cherry blossoms, peach trees, forsythia and magnolia would follow and covers the mountain. Once you get out of Yumoto Station, you can see the scenery of the hot spring town with hotels and day-trip bathing facilities along the street. Iwaki Yumoto hot spring has a history of over 1,600 years and has been producing 3740 gallons of hot water/min, which is one of the largest volumes in the world(and it contains minerals that are good for your skin!) There is even a foot bath in front of the station, so you can soak in the hot spring as soon as you get there!
