Arrived at Kitakyushu Port at 9:00 pm last night and stayed in Kokura. This morning, I headed to Hiraodai, just 30 minutes from Kokura. It’s a beautiful karst plateau covered with countless limestone formations stretching across the landscape.
For lunch, I stopped at Hirao, a popular tempura restaurant where the freshly fried tempura is both delicious and affordable. The energetic staff keep the place buzzing, and hot tempura is served right in front of you one piece after another. What a fantastic lunch — I was completely satisfied before the afternoon even started!
昨日の夜9時に北九州港へ到着し、小倉に宿泊しました。
今日は小倉から約30分の平尾台へ。石灰岩がポコポコと広がる、美しいカルスト台地です。
お昼ご飯は、揚げたての天ぷらが安くて美味しい「ひらお」へ。威勢のいい掛け声とテキパキ働く店員さんたちが、揚げたての天ぷらを次々と目の前に運んでくれます。
昼から大満足!お腹も心も満たされました。
