Today, I had the pleasure of helping out at a regular Nordic walking event organized by a local NPO.
As it coincided with the Onsen Festival, Beppu Park was full of lively energy!
We also enjoyed the annual Sakaigawa cherry blossom walking event.

今日は #ひじの里山を愛するガイドの会 のメンバーとして、 #経塚山 の #登山道整備 をしました。
ごみ捨て禁止の看板を立て直し、急登箇所のロープの張替えをしました。
春山登山の季節！安全に山行をお楽しみ下さい！

Today we had a very charming guest join our tour.

We enjoyed a Nordic walk through the quiet winter scenery of Tadewara Wetland, followed by a delicious Oita Wagyu steak set lunch at the farm restaurant Bebenko. As a wonderful surprise, the restaurant owner also came to welcome us!

In the afternoon, we walked across the Kokonoe “Yume” Suspension Bridge and even touched a lucky white snake said to bring good fortune. In Yufuin, our guest enjoyed about an hour and a half of free time to explore the town, and the day ended with a relaxing doctor fish experience.

It was a joyful tour filled with smiles from beginning to end.

The first thing I did at the start of the new year was make jam using wild strawberries picked from the hill behind my house. This sweet and sour jam has a refreshing aroma and is a perfect match for almond tofu. Come and try it!
