令和８年７月１日、岩手山の山開き式＆記念登山が開催されました。
朝６時から山開き式で安全祈願をしたあと、御神坂登山口から記念登山スタート！
登りの道中では、もやがかかって景色はあまり見えませんでしたが、山頂付近ではもやが抜けてすばらしい景色を見ることができました。
山頂にはたくさんの登山者が集まり、伝統のピッケル交換を見届け、盛大に万歳三唱！その場にいた登山者みんなで喜びを分かち合いました。
今シーズンもすべての登山者が安全に山を歩けますように。そして、西側も含めた岩手山の全面規制解除の日が一日でも早く訪れることを願っています。
Mt. Iwate officially opened for the climbing season on July 1, 2026, marked by an opening ceremony and a celebratory hike!
Starting at 6:00 AM with safety prayers at the opening ceremony, we set off on our commemorative climb from the Omisaka trailhead.
Though heavy mist veiled the scenery on our way up, it magically cleared near the summit, revealing a breathtaking view.
A huge crowd of climbers gathered at the summit to witness the traditional ice axe exchange, followed by three grand cheers of "Banzai!" Every single person there shared in the pure joy of the moment.
I pray that all climbers stay safe on the mountains this season. I also truly hope the day will come soon when all restrictions on Mt. Iwate, including the western side, are completely lifted.
