At the Tsukikage Former Elementary School, we shared the same space and time with local.
Warm sake, grilled mochi, and a small live performance.
Nothing extraordinary,yet somehow, it fills your heart.

It’s not flashy, but there’s a warmth here you won’t find anywhere else.
A quiet, luxurious moment that can only be experienced in the countryside.

【Matsunoyama Onsen's Little New Year Celebration❄️ The first groom dives into the snowy slopes! A unique tradition praying for marriage blessings & a strong bond】

Every year on January 15th, the first groom from the previous year’s wedding is thrown down the snow-covered slope from Yakushido, praying for marital harmony. This event is said to have roots in the legacy of abduction marriages. The "Saino-kami" ritual involves smearing each other’s faces with a mix of ash from the sacred fire and snow, wishing for good health and prosperity. A tradition unique to the hot spring town!

2025.11.1 Halloween party at Tsukikage

we hosted our very first Halloween party in an abandoned countryside school in Niigata.
We took over the entire place.a full-on DJ party in the old gym, dinner in the former lunchroom, a spooky “kimodameshi” horror walk through the school, and an overnight stay in the beautifully renovated classrooms.and karaoke during night.
A huge thank you to all the ghosts who gathered from near and far.

【Watching Naoetsu and Kashiwazaki Fireworks from the Summit of Mt. Yoneyama】

I hiked up Mt. Yoneyama just in time to catch a rare and breathtaking view,two fireworks festivals at once! From the summit, I could see the Naoetsu fireworks lighting up the western sky, while Kashiwazaki’s display shimmered beautifully over the east.
