The Ryugatake mountain campsite has a new management, and Gogo Daichi and Akinori Miura are doing an incredible job to make it more comfortable.
Besides the amazing view and the perfect location - there's an observatory junt 5 minutes walk away - the place provides everything you need for a perfect camping, tent and bungalows.
Everything is ready. The most clear night sky of Japan is waiting for you.

Christina came to try the Kamiamakusa Real Experience.

It was a 3 days of immersion in nature, sea, good food and relaxing time.

We started visiting Matsushima island where we eat tasty homemade sweets, and then we moved with Zozogama where she could enjoy the sunset on the islands and Konomi homemade coffee.

Next day we went to fish, and it was her first experience fishing on a boat. Not bad: she took 7 fishes, a good start!

Then we went to Calm Beach, and even if the weather was not so warm she could swim in the transparent and clean water.

Hiking, cooking, and sightseeing was also a big part of the experience.

In Kamiamakusa is time to plant some rice.
Minami Yokomizo is helping Ayumu-san with the new rice plants.

Umisora is a very special restaurant.
Hiroshi and Chiaki, a very kind and warm japanese couple, lived in Canada and Italy developing a true dedication into fusion cuisine.

They create their own menu mixing italian and homemade products with japanese food and local ingredients straight from Kamiamakusa farms.

Hiroshi-san explains every dish while serving: ingredients, characteristic and a bit of history and tradition / transforming every dinner into an experience.

Nogawa island, in Kamiamakusa. There's an amazing restaurant there, Umisora, that offers a mix of japanese and italian cuisine.

And also, the place is incredible.

People of KA.
Shoji-san is one of a kind. He is my manager in Kamiamakusa, and his work into the Tourism Department is remarkable. He's always open to new ideas and he is a strong support in everything related to people working for this beautiful islands.

His vision and skills are what Kamiamakusa needs.

On top of that he is an avid biker. And a bass player. And, last but not least, a very skilled fisherman, and also a father of two wonderful kids.

And recently a good Carbonara maker.
