田中抱二による「桃の節句」にふさわしい掛軸「内裏雛図」と、荒川豊蔵による花器「古染付高砂写し」。HOTEL THE MITSUI KYOTOの「四季の間」では、すっかり春らしくなった設えをお楽しみいただけます。床飾りは、武者小路千家家元後嗣・千宗屋氏にご監修いただいております。

The tokonoma alcove in SHIKI-NO-MA at HOTEL THE MITSUI KYOTO features a seasonal observance of Momo no Sekku, or the Peach Festival of early spring. The hanging scroll by 19th century artist Hōji Tanaka depicts dairi-hina festival dolls as well as a takasago sometsuke flower container by the renowned potter Toyozō Arakawa. The decorations featured in the tokonoma alcove are overseen by So’oku Sen heir apparent to the position of iemoto or headmaster of the Mushakouji Senke tradition of tea.
