本日はBROMPTONと舞鶴コースの試験走行ツアー！
日本海側の舞鶴は、
日陰に入ると風が涼しく、
海沿いの道を快適に走ることができます。
東舞鶴は軍港の歴史があり、
西舞鶴は城下町と、
同じ舞鶴でも一駅お隣に行くと全く違う雰囲気があり、
海の京都の魅力を体感する一日となりましたʕ⁠·⁠ᴥ⁠·⁠ʔ

Today we took a test drive tour of the Maizuru course with our Brompton!
Maizuru is on the Sea of Japan coast,
where the breeze is cool in the shade,
making for a comfortable ride along the coastal roads.
Higashi-Maizuru has a history as a naval port,
while Nishi-Maizuru is a castle town.
Even within Maizuru, just one station away has a completely different atmosphere.
It was a day where we experienced the charm of Kyoto by the Seaʕ⁠·⁠ᴥ⁠·⁠ʔ

真夏も最高に快適なオススメの場所を発見！
本日は京都の南丹市にある、
日吉ダムツアーの実地検証走行をしてきました。
前回の試走時は、
定休日で入ることができなかった、
ダム内部の施設でしたが、
今日は普段入ることができない場所も見学することができました。
ダム内部の厚い壁の向こう側は、
ダム湖の水であり、
水深によって水温が異なりますが、
夏場でもダム内部の温度は14〜17℃なので、
夏の暑さを凌ぐことができます。
またダムの内部は、
一年中一定の温度が保たれているため、
丹波の地酒を貯蔵して、
ダム酒を売り出していく計画が進行中とのことʕ⁠ ⁠º⁠ ⁠ᴥ⁠ ⁠º⁠ʔ
ツアー中に試飲することはできませんが、
地域ならではのお土産があると面白いですね！

We've discovered a recommended spot that's incredibly comfortable even in the middle of summer!
Today, we took a field test drive of the Hiyoshi Dam Tour in Nantan City, Kyoto.
During our last test drive,
we were unable to enter the facilities inside the dam due to its closure,
but today we were able to see areas that are normally off-limits.
Beyond the thick walls inside the dam,
the water is from the dam lake.
The water temperature varies depending on the depth,
but even in summer, the temperature inside the dam is 14-17°C,
making it a pleasant place to beat the summer heat.
Also, because the inside of the dam
maintains a constant temperature year-round,
plans are underway to store Tamba's local sake and sell it as dam sake.ʕ ⁠º ⁠ᴥ ⁠º ʔ
While tasting isn't available during the tour,
it would be fun to find some unique souvenirs from the region!

Today, we went on a slow cycling tour from Kurama to Kamigamo Shrine with a customer from Odawara!
The heat in Kyoto can be unbearable,
but once we reached the top of Mount Kurama, a cool breeze blew,
making the tour very pleasant. ฅ⁠^⁠•⁠ﻌ⁠•⁠^⁠ฅ
Our customer was on a bicycle tour in Shonan,
and we had a great time chatting.

本日は、
マレーシアからお越しのお客様と、
阿波踊りとお盆の帰省で賑わう祖谷渓をスローサイクリング！
ちょうど一年前の8月14日も祖谷渓ツアーをしていましたが、
突然の大雨にやられて、
エラい目に遭いましたが、
今日は無事にツアーを終えることができましたฅ⁠^⁠•⁠ﻌ⁠•⁠^⁠ฅ

Today,
with a guest from Malaysia,
we went on a slow cycle ride through the Iya Valley, which is bustling with Awa Odori dances and people returning home for Obon!
Exactly one year ago, on August 14th,
we also went on an Iya Valley tour,
but we were hit by a sudden downpour and
suffered a terrible experience,
but today we were able to complete the tour safely. ฅ⁠^⁠•⁠ﻌ⁠•⁠^⁠ฅ

インディアナ州からお越しのお客様と、
本日も祖谷渓スローサイクリング！
昨日はツアー終了後に夕立ちがあり、
今日も雨雲レーダーを見ながらのツアーでしたが、
雨にやられず無事に完走することができましたʕ⁠·⁠ᴥ⁠·⁠ʔ
去年の夏、
祖谷渓のゲリラ豪雨でエラい目に遭ったので、
夏のツアーは気をつけていきたいものですね。

Today, we went on another slow cycle through Iya Valley with a customer from Indiana! Yesterday, there was an evening shower after the tour, and today, we were watching the rain radar, but we managed to complete the tour without getting rained onʕ⁠·⁠ᴥ⁠·⁠ʔ.
Last summer, we had a terrible experience with a sudden downpour in Iya Valley, so we need to be careful when touring in the summer.
