📍Senjokaku Hall, Miyajima
Miyajima is famous for its floating torii gate and deer 🦌
—but don’t miss Senjokaku.

Sitting up on the hill, this open wooden hall offers a beautiful panoramic view of Miyajima and the Seto Inland Sea 🌊

Locals often come here to sit on the cool wooden floor, stretch out their tired legs, and take a quiet break — a simple pleasure after the climb.

✨ Why is it called Senjokaku?
Because it’s large enough to fit around 857 tatami mats, which roughly equals “1,000 tatami.”
Inside, you’ll also find many huge ema (wooden votive tablets).

Many were moved here from the corridors of Itsukushima Shrine during the Meiji era, so you can see an impressive collection all in one place.

🎟 Entrance fee: ¥100

📸 A calm, breezy spot locals love — and travelers shouldn’t miss.

Geibikei, Iwate
Drift through a dramatic limestone gorge, carved by nature over centuries.

Towering cliffs, calm waters — and yes, adorable ducks swimming alongside the boat 🦆✨

A peaceful, almost storybook-like moment in rural Japan.
🍀 Try the local Undama lucky stone toss

💡 Tip: Take the first morning boat for fewer crowds and more duck encounters
📍 A hidden gem for travelers who love nature & slow travel.

A little escape to Shodoshima, Kagawa

Walking Angel Road at low tide, riding the Kankakei Ropeway through the cliffs, learning how soy sauce is made at Yamaroku, taking photos by the Greek-style windmill, and finishing the day on the Slowpoke ferry.

Washi-making in Ogawamachi Town, a place famous for its traditional Japanese paper ✨
Make your craft from scratch with the guidance of a local craftsman.
Start by making the washi → go through several drying steps → add patterns & dye → then turn it into your final art piece.

Japanese washi is incredibly durable — it won’t tear even when wet!
This time I made a mini Japanese umbrella ☂️💛
And you can shop more beautiful Ogawamachi crafts after the workshop too.

Sapporo — it’s more than just a name on a beer bottle.
This northern city is where it all began back in 1876, when Japan’s first beer factory opened right here. 🍺✨

Today, the Sapporo Factory stands on those same historic grounds — part museum, part shopping mall, part bar — where you can sip, learn, and feel the history of Japan’s brewing culture.

Cheers to where it all started. 🍻
