🐵Watch Snow Monkeys Bathe in Nagano Hot Springs♨

Jigokudani Monkey Park, located in the northern part of Nagano Prefecture, is home to wild Japanese macaques, where visitors can observe their behavior up close.

In winter, when temperatures drop below minus 10 degrees Celsius, the monkeys are famously seen soaking in hot springs to keep warm.
They can be seen during the winter months, especially from December to March.

Sumo practice in Japan is called 稽古 (keiko), and it’s a deeply traditional, disciplined, and physically demanding part of sumo wrestlers’ lives. It’s where the foundation of their strength, skill, and spirit is built—far beyond what most people see in a tournament.

📍Where It Happens:
Takes place in sumo stables (heya 部屋), where wrestlers live, train, eat, and sleep.
Each stable is run by a retired sumo wrestler (called an oyakata, or stablemaster).
