The beautiful skunk cabbages (mizubashou) are now in full bloom at Imori Pond! 🌱✨ These delicate white flowers create a magical scene against the clear waters. Perfect timing for Golden Week visitors and just in time for the upcoming Sougensai Festival on May 10th. Nature's reminder that spring is truly here! Don't miss this spectacular seasonal display if you're in the area.

Can you see the Haneuma on the side of Mt Myoko. As the snow melts in spring the shape of a leaping horse gradually appears on the side of Mt Myoko.

Cherry blossoms are in full bloom in Myoko right now! If you missed sakura season elsewhere, head to Myoko for a spectacular view. The beautiful skunk cabbages are also beginning to bloom at Imori Pond. Spring has definitely arrived in all its glory!

🌸 Spring is Coming to Myoko! 🏔️
Winter is winding down and spring is in the air here in Myoko! The days are getting warmer, and soon we'll be blessed with beautiful cherry blossoms. We're enjoying more and more perfect blue-sky days, and Mt. Myoko looks absolutely stunning against this backdrop.
Don't put those skis away just yet though! Spring skiing in Myoko is a special treat - several resorts remain open until the end of March, and some are even planning to stay open until May! Come enjoy the unique experience of spring skiing while surrounded by the awakening beauty of nature.

Spring skiing is here! The weather is beautiful and the views from the ski resorts are absolutely breathtaking. In my opinion, this might actually be the BEST time to hit the slopes! Less crowds, warmer temperatures, and stunning mountain vistas. Who else loves spring skiing?

The Gundam crew absolutely crushing it at Ikenotaira Ski Resort today! These mobile suits were showing off some serious skills on the slopes. Never thought I'd see Gundams shredding powder! Anyone else catch this epic sight?

Due to the effects of the heavy snowfall that began last night, the Kita-Shinano Line to Nagano will be suspended for the entire day between Kurohime and Myoko-Kogen.

Service between Myoko & Kurohime (towards Nagano) will be suspended tomorrow, the 18th (Tuesday), from the first train until around 8am.

BUS UPDATE
From February 17th ~ 19th the Madarao winter bus will stop at Tangram. It will not continue to Madarao due to the forecast incoming heavy snow.

Incredible amounts of fresh powder have been blanketing Myoko over the past few days! While this means amazing conditions on the slopes, please remember to stay safe around town. Watch out for snow accumulated on rooftops that could slide off at any moment - stick to cleared pathways and be aware of your surroundings.
