Nagai Kuroshishi Matsuri Festival was held in Nagai City today.

And this time, there was an experience plan to participate in the festival, and two people from Canada and England joined the plan.

夏の間にぜひともやっておきたいことは、お祭りにいくこと。
長井の大きなお祭りのひとつは、水まつりですね。

美味しい食べ物はさておき、夜に花火の打ち上がるものを見るというのは最高！！

このお祭りは、水についてのものです。

そうそう、長井市は水がキレイで、
水道水を直接飲めることで知られていますね。

もし、長井を訪れることがあるなら、このお祭りに来てみてね。

One of the best things to do during the summer season is to go to festivals. One of the biggest festivals to see in Nagai is the "Mizu Matsuri" or the Water festival. Aside from the delicious food, the best thing to watch is the Firework display at night. This festival is about water. Nagai City is known to have clean water that you can drink it straight from the tap. If you visit Nagai, you can come and enjoy the festival. It is celebrated at the beginning of August.

長井市にある焼肉はしもと。

「瓶ビールに最もマッチする食べ物は？」

と聞かれたら、僕は迷わずここの牛ホルと答えます。（聞かれたこと無いですが。）

主役であるカルビを尻目に、人々の箸がこの牛ホルに伸びていく様子を見るにつけ、何故だか一抹の悦びを感じています。

ちょっと目を離すと一瞬にして縮んでしまうため、手練れの焼肉奉行をひとり同行させると良いでしょう。

日本のお弁当屋さんは安いだけでなく、メニューも豊富でしかも美味しいから結構オススメです。

こちらは丸川精肉店の「とんこつカレー」。
（上に乗っているのは豚のカツレツです）

豚の骨から出るエキスがたっぷり入った、お肉屋さんならではのジャパニーズカレー。

このコクがなかなか家では出せないんだよな〜。

お惣菜も沢山置いてあるので、日本の家庭料理を体験したり、またホームパーティをする時なんかにも重宝しますよ！

イカの塩辛と言えば、日本の代表的な酒の肴ですが、こちらは塩辛ならぬ「みそから」。

カレー味噌や南蛮味噌で有名な丸山食品さんの隠れた逸品です。

日本酒に合い過ぎて、箸が止まらなくなるのでご注意ください！

長井市といえば、この列車！
フラワー長井線と呼ばれています。　
これはJRではなく、第三セクター鉄道となっています。
主に高校生の通学や私みたいに車を所有していない人が使っています。

このフラワー長井線、荒砥からの始発は午前5：59で最終が午後8：08。
赤湯にいくならいいですよね。

この列車、日本の映画『スイングガールズ』でも取り上げられたんです！もしチャンスがあったら、ぜひ乗ってみて！

One thing that is known for Nagai is the train. They call this train the Nagai Flower Line. This diesel powered train starts from Arato station to Akayu Station and back. There are two trains on this line which are a one-car train and a two-car train. This line is not part of the JR line since it is owned by a private train company. The train is mostly used by high school students and people who have no car like me. The train starts from 5:59 in the morning and the last train is at 8:08 pm if you want to go to Akayu. This train was also featured in the Japanese movie "Swing Girls" and also featured in a famous Japanese detective drama. If you have the chance, take a ride on this train.
