夏天的座頭鯨，在阿留申群島周邊的北海大量覓食後，為了繁殖後代，會回到溫暖浪靜的沖繩。距離那霸市約40公里，被美麗的珊瑚礁層層環繞的座間味島近海，每年約1月至4月間會聚集大量座頭鯨在此進行繁殖活動。這些體重約達30噸、身長約15公尺的座頭鯨們，將會大展身手求偶的舉動，氣勢磅礡的姿態讓人嘆為觀止！
