The summer climbing season for Mount Fuji in 2025 will end on September 10, with all four climbing routes closed.

The climbing routes are the Yoshida Route on the Yamanashi side, and the Subashiri Route, Gotemba Route, and Fujinomiya Route on the Shizuoka side.
The closed area will be from the 5th station to the summit.

The descent route for the Yoshida Route will remain open until noon on September 11, while the section from the 5th to the 6th station on the Fujinomiya Route may remain open until early November depending on snow conditions.
There have been differences in the operating periods of the summer climbing season between Yamanashi Prefecture and Shizuoka Prefecture, but since 2016, the closing dates have been unified: the Yamanashi side operates from July 1 to September 10, while the Shizuoka side operates from July 10 to September 10.

The private car restrictions for the Fuji Subaru Line (Yoshida Route), Fuji Azami Line (Subashiri Route), and Fuji Mountain Skyline (Fujinomiya Route) will also be lifted on September 10.

Shiraito Falls is known as one of the most famous waterfalls in Japan.
Melting snow from Mount Fuji springs from the cliffs at the boundary between the upper, water-permeable New Fuji volcanic layer and the lower, water-impermeable Old Fuji volcanic layer.
Hundreds of waterfalls, large and small, cascade down from a 20m high, 150m wide, curved cliff. The waterfall looks like countless strands of silk threads, befitting its name, Shiraito.
Its gentle, feminine beauty creates a fantastical world when you stand near the base of the waterfall, with three sides forming an arch of water. It is a national scenic spot and natural monument.

Shiraito Falls, which hangs over the entire surface of a 150m-wide curved cliff, is fed mostly by spring water from Mt. Fuji, with the exception of a small section of the main waterfall. You're sure to feel energized by being enveloped in negative ions! The way the water flows like white silk threads between the rock walls is worthy of its name, Shiraito, and brings a crisp, cool breeze to the surrounding area while displaying feminine beauty and a gentle landscape. The water temperature is 12°C throughout the year, and it is said that 1.5 tons of spring water flows every second.

Lake Tanuki (Tanuki-ko), located on Asagiri Plateau in the west of Mount Fuji, belongs to Fujinomiya City in Shizuoka prefecture and offers a wonderful view on Fuji-san.

A hiking trail circles around the lake that anyone can use at their own pace, on foot or on bicycle. A bicycle rental service is available on site. You won’t get bored of the panorama on the surrounding mountains and especially on Mount Fuji that dominates the landscape.

Each year near April 20 and August 20, Tanuki-ko becomes the place of a beautiful scenery known as the Double Diamond Fuji. The sun rises exactly at the top of Mount Fuji and shines like a diamond. This marvelous yet ephemeral phenomenon is reflected in the lake’s calm water. Visitors who would like to admire the inverted Fuji must be there by 6 a.m.

t’s "Unique Festival that heralds the arrival of spring in Suruga Bay.
The "Ose Festival and Uchiura Fishing Port Festival" is held on April 4 every year.
The Ose Festival is an annual festival at Ose Shrine that gathers the faith of the fishermen of Suruga Bay.
It is also called the "Miracle Festival of Heaven" because a dancing boat carrying young men dressed in long robes and whitewashed faces sails to worship at Ose Shrine, and young men dressed as women dance the "Brave Dance" to the tune of "Chanchara Okashi".
When the dancing boat arrives at the quay, the boat throws bales into the sea, and the young men who swim to pick them up visit the shrine to pray for a great catch and safe navigation.
