t’s "Unique Festival that heralds the arrival of spring in Suruga Bay.
The "Ose Festival and Uchiura Fishing Port Festival" is held on April 4 every year.
The Ose Festival is an annual festival at Ose Shrine that gathers the faith of the fishermen of Suruga Bay.
It is also called the "Miracle Festival of Heaven" because a dancing boat carrying young men dressed in long robes and whitewashed faces sails to worship at Ose Shrine, and young men dressed as women dance the "Brave Dance" to the tune of "Chanchara Okashi".
When the dancing boat arrives at the quay, the boat throws bales into the sea, and the young men who swim to pick them up visit the shrine to pray for a great catch and safe navigation.

Every year in late November ~ early December, the first plum blossoms bloom.
Including old plum trees that are over 100 years old, 469 plum trees of 60 varieties are in full bloom, and they bloom in order, from early → medium to late →. During the plum festival, you can fully enjoy the plum blossoms.
