My monthly arrival of Takasaki, Gunma fruit and veg box arrived this morning, perfect timing to incorporate into tonight’s dinner menu!
Too much for my family with 3 kids away at school, so sharing with Shoji cousin, who relocated to our city (lucky us).
This month included some peaches (variety called Chiyohime) let’s see how they taste… a battle of Okayama peaches vs Gunma peaches.

I don't think it never gets old looking at Mt. Fuji and these beautiful images give me hope for a bright new year. I want to travel back to Hakone and stay again at bar Hotel Hakone. Seems like a long distance memory but determined to get there again.

This is a must visit destination when visiting Kochi City. Not only for the extensive selection of food and other items but if offers a look into the Kochi culture of eating with friends. Loud and delicious come to mind when I think of this place.

Autumn is the season that prepares up for not only a time of color with the trees technicolor radiance but it begins what I consider the best time to experience food in this country. Nabe, sweet potatoes, matsutake mushrooms and so, so much more. At Coconoma Season Dining in Tokyo the menu is alive with seasonal dishes.

This is such a timely post to see, I actually went to find this last year when I was in Kochi but got detoured by the awesome drive to the location. Getting here now as the last leaves of fall are still clinging to the trees sounds like a plan!

I love reading other peoples travel stories to my favorite spots and Kochi is definitely in the top 5. There have been so many cycling stories its getting me inspired to at least visit the spot, not sure I'm fit enough to cycle but know there will be comfortable walks to take.

I am heading to Kochi next month, fingers crossed I can leave my prefecture. I love to add a new place to visit whenever I travel for work. I think I might have missed the sunflowers but this striking clock, its history offers a timely (excuse the pun) chance to seize a moment.
