🌿 New Towels, Fresh Amenities… and Especially Life Jackets! 🛟
We’re always upgrading comfort and safety here at the House of Bliss—and that includes reminding our guests, especially families, to always prioritize water safety.
🏞️ Swimming at the Lake: Be Cautious, Be Safe
While the lake may seem calm and peaceful, it’s important to remember that it can be unpredictable. We strongly recommend wearing life jackets, especially for kids and weaker swimmers. Here’s why:
✅ Lakes can be deceivingly deep — what looks like a shallow area can drop suddenly.
✅ There are no waves like the sea, but still water can hide strong undercurrents or muddy, slippery bottoms.
✅ Cold water temperatures can lead to sudden cramps or shock.
✅ Limited visibility makes it harder to spot someone in distress.
🌊 Lake vs. Sea – What’s the Difference?
People often think lakes are safer than the sea, but each has its risks:
• The sea has currents, tides, and waves—they’re more visible, but also more forceful.
• Lakes may seem still, but their calm surface can give a false sense of security.
• Sea swimmers tend to be more alert due to visible waves, while lake swimmers often let their guard down.
🛟 That’s why we provide life jackets at the House of Bliss and ask all our guests—especially those with children—to use them when swimming in the lake.
Your safety is our top priority 💙
Enjoy the water, but always with care.
