Hi! This is a local guide, Riko. I guided guests to Higashi-Matsushima city today.

Matsushima can be viewed not only from the sea, but also from the top of the mountain, where beautiful views can be enjoyed. Matsushima's Four Great Views (松島四大観) are four locations from which you can get a bird's eye view of Matsushima.

I took my guests to one of them, Otakamori(大高森). The view from the top of the mountain is breathtaking.
Lunch was all-you-can-eat oysters in Matsushima Town. The guests seemed to enjoy Matsushima to their heart's content.

Last night, I guided a guest from Korea! It was a great chance for my guest to experience Japanese izakaya, similar to but slightly different from Korean izakaya. Sendai's yokochos (bar alley) have miscellaneous restaurants in them. Why don't you enjoy our Sendai bar-hopping tours?!

Hi！ I’m Riko, Sendai area local guide.
No matter age or handicap, anybody can enjoy tours. My guest for today was from America, the same age as my mother. I took my guest’s hand and tried to support her when we went up and down the very steep Zuihoden mausoleum steps. My guest fully enjoyed Sendai, foodie tour!

Hi! I’m Riko. Do you know “washoku”? (Japanese cuisine) Today, I guided an Italian chef on Shiogama Foodie tour. Washoku is not only sushi or tempura, but the food that Japanese people eat daily is also washoku. There are some cafes that serve such food in my hometown too. I’m sure they really enjoyed it today! If you have a chance, wah don’t you try daily washoku?

Hi! I’m a local guide, Riko. Today, I had a remote island tour with my guests.
“Urato islands”, Shiogama city are on Matsushima Bay, a resort for people in the know, and a fisherman’s village. We learned about the village people’s life and had an exciting boat tour, such as sewing between small islands or rocks. You might think a trip to remote islands is difficult to get, but it is surprisingly easy to enjoy ocean recreation. Just ride on the boat from the port town, Shiogama. You can have an extraordinary experience and a taste of traditional island life!

I had a tour with my guests from UK today.
Stroll about Shiogama wholesale fish market and then, Uakasumi sake brewery tour! The brewing season is over, but thanks for my guest friendship with the brewery, we could see inside the building and learned a lot about sake brewing. Our trip will be continued to tomorrow. See you again!
