We are getting there...... the Ducati ST4S ABS features now also Givi's monokey rack and comes in future with both original Ducati paniers as well as Givi V46 topcase. Modifications for the newly acquired 2nd BMW F800St concluded also today , ETC (electronic toll reader ), USB adaptor, Ctek charge adaptor, Garmin 660 with fast coupler and X-grip for smartphone, 2 x Givi V35 and 1 x Givi V46, tyres still 50% , that should basically be it. And finally the old lady R1100RS also visited the speedstar.jp shop today and got a pair of brandnew Metzeler Roadtec Z8. So, with the exception of last weeks 2nd F800ST all bikes are on new tyres now, F800 ST #1 and Ducati ST4S on Michelin Pilot 5, R1100S und K1200GT on Pilot 4GT and from today the R1100RS on Roadtec Z8, that should do it for the moment. And not to forget, from january 1st, 2019 every and any motorcycle on our homepage available in full touring gear, free mileage and insurance for both driver and pilion included at 490 USD per week..

Langsam aber sicher wirds jetzt, Ducati ST4S ABS hat nun auch den Givi Monokey Träger und kommt ab jetzt mit 2 Originalkoffern und Givi V46. Die letzte Woche neu hinzugekommene BMW F800ST hat jetzt auch alle Modifikationen wie ETC reader, USB, Ctek, Garmin 660 Navi auf Schnellkupplung zum Austausch mit X-Grip smartphone, 2x Givi 35 and 1 x Givi V46, Bereifung vorn / hinten noch 50%, das sollte es eigentlich sein so weit und heute hat sich die BMW R1100RS bei speedstar.jp auch neue Metzeler Z8 Roadtec aufziehen lassen. Bis auf die neue F800ST haben damit auch alle Motorräder neue Reifen, F800 ST #1 und Ducati ST4S den Michelin Pilot 5, R1100S und K1200GT den Pilot 4GT und nun ab heute die R1100RS Metzeler Roadtec Z8, damit sollten wir eigentlich erstmal ok sein. Und wie schon angekündigt, ab 1. Januar 2019 jedes Motorrad in Touren Vollausstattung km-frei mit Vollkasko 490 USD die Woche..

Weekend trip to Miura Kaigan
just joined some japanese and german friends for a short weekend tour, dry and warm weather, all in good mood and the bikes likely smiling, too like horses raring to play outside when the sky is blue..Miura Kaigan is just a short ride, an hour and some minutes from Tokyo on the DaiSanKeihin and Yokohama-Yokosuka toll roads, more time needed on free roads to the seaside south of Kamakura, former capital of Japan some 800 hundred years ago and Yokosuka, one of the japanese homes of the american Navy. From there it is just a stone's throw to the beaches and countryside and it is really a beautiful area, that is ...outside of summer weekends when it may become very crowded. Here are just some pictures and if you like fresh fish then this is one of your places...

Tokyo - Osaka Shinkansen Bullet train
has nothing to do with our beloved motorcycles but all of a sudden had to go from Tokyo to Osaka for a business meeting today and here are my thoughts from yesterday evening with realistic fees and travel times for Japan:
car:
a) Highway fees Tokyo - Osaka one way 11330 Yen - around 100 USD !,
b) estimated driving time: 5:30 hrs, distance 515 kilometers
c) gasoline in Japan 1liter High Octane around 1.60 USD, at best our car 10km / per liter, x 50 estimated 80 USD one way- total 100$ fees 80 $ gasoline, 5 and a half hours
alternative: Shinkansen bullet train
a) ticket price: 13000 Yen one way - around 115 USD
b) 2 hours 27 minutes
c) ----------
Took me 30 mins subway to the Shinkansen station Tokyo, departure 10:00 a.m., arrival 12:27, subway Shin Osaka train station to Honmachi 12 minutes , 12:50 meeting with clients.
as most of us often hear about bullet trains but almost no one has used them here are some pictures of today , its a real convenient way to travel from midtown to midtown, no waiting time and hard to believe yet nevertheless the truth and nothing but: arrives 364 days a year exactly the minute, literally it is bound to arrive, absolutely wonderful to plan travel with them...Pictures of today's train, with inside ( sorry missed the girl with the food and drink trolley 5 times, smoked too much I guess ) , explanation on seat in front of you where to find the next smoking - standing only - cabin, where to find a public phone or staff support on the train if needed and some pictures of the track with clients waiting, on the right some vending machines with drinks and snacks nothing more than max 1.50 USD..btw: during travel checked for the first time the internet speed, just was interested and minimum was 12Mbps down and 10 Mbps upload , highest was 18 / 16 Mbps, not earth shattering but consistently with 160 mph speed through the country side not bad either..All for now .. don t want to steal your time

Just in yesterday: 1 further BMW F800ST. Just added ETC reader, Givi side case adaptor arrived, 2 x Givi V35s and 1 x top case adaptor SR5109 ordered, still around a week to go to get all done, then ready to explore Japans country roads.. All the best

Just back from a 1 week tour between clients to the most northern part of Honshu, mainly to visit and take pictures of some very famous locations for next year's first northern tours, from World Heritage sites in Hiraizumi to a self-mummified monk in Dainichibo and then Yamadera, a more than 1000 years old mountaintop temple in Yamagata and from Japan's deepest Tazawa Lake to the most remote, barren and volcanic yet highly interesting area and temple called Osorezan on the Shimokita peninsula,dubbed in japanese as the Gate to the Underworld.. Had some delicious pieces of different ..maguros.., too in Oma, the famous tuna fisher village and went back through Tazawa lake and Oirase Glen via Shingomura to Matsushima, 1 of Japan's best 3 views and right now at the beginning of oyster season, a feast....and finally through some scenic roads down to Nasu-Shiobara, last stop a beautiful canyon before hitting the highway and coming back to Tokyo. On google's site just put in some pictures, around 20 of them of the first 6 stops , next ones to follow in the next days. Enjoy, drive safe and have a nice weekend
