【Sushi-making experience with a sushi chef while cruising around the bay area on a yakatabune! 🍣】

*This is a paid tour.

This tour provides an opportunity to learn how to make sushi directly from a sushi chef while riding on a yakatabune departing from Shinagawa Port. You can eat the sushi you made on the yakatabune ⚓️🍣
This tour will give you a sense of Shinagawa, which flourished as a fishing town in the Edo period.

This tour is limited to 20 people and will be closed when it reaches capacity. 🥹

【屋形船で湾岸エリアを周遊しながら、寿司職人に教わる寿司作り体験をしよう！🍣】

※有料ツアーとなります。

品川浦を発着する屋形船に乗りながら、職人さんからお寿司づくりを直接教わることができるツアーです。自分で作ったお寿司は、屋形船の中で食べることができます⚓️🍣
江戸時代は漁師町として栄えた品川を感じられるツアーです。

今回は限定20名のツアーで、定員に達し次第受付終了となります。

【2024: First Walking Tour Held】
Date and Time: Friday, June 7th, 17:30~
Course: Guesthouse Shinagawa-shuku → Hinkai Park → Back Streets → Guesthouse Shinagawa-shuku → Hinkai Park

Last year, the tour had to be canceled on Friday due to heavy rain, so this Friday was a chance for revenge.
This year, the weather was perfect, and participants enjoyed carrying the portable shrine.

A big thank you to the residents of Kita-Shinagawa 1-chome for allowing us to carry the mikoshi.

After carrying the mikoshi, everyone drink in front of it and took some time to savor the moment.
It was a wonderful day that felt like the start of the Reitaisai festival.

【2024年:第1回ウォーキングツアーを開催しました】

コース:ゲストハウス品川宿→品海公園→裏道→ゲストハウス品川宿→品海公園で乾杯！

去年は金曜日が大雨で中止になってしまったので、リベンジの金曜日でした。
今年は最高の天気で、参加者は楽しく担ぐことができました。

いつもお神輿を担がせてくださる、北品川一丁目町会の皆様ありがとうございます。

お神輿を担ぎ終わったあとは、お神輿の前でみんなで乾杯をして、しばし余韻に浸りました。
例大祭のスタートを感じる、いい一日になりました。

[2025: The 8th Walking Tour Was Held]

Date & Time: Sunday, February 23, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Course: Depart from Shinagawa-shuku Guesthouse & Tours → Walk along the Old Tokaido → Kujirazuka (Whale Mound) → Tosh*ta Shrine → Daiba Battery → Tennozu Pier → Cruising → Return to Tennozu Pier → Back to Shinagawa-shuku Guesthouse & Tours

While walking through Shinagawa-shuku, participants imagined the old coastline as they explored the area, making their way to Tennozu. From there, we boarded a private boat from Tokyo Water Taxi and enjoyed a unique view of Oi Wharf from the sea!

品川宿を歩きながら、昔の海岸線をイメージしながら、街歩きをして、天王洲へ。
そして、天王洲から東京ウォータータクシーさんの貸し切りボードで大井埠頭を海からみました！

【Cruising Tour: Experience the Past and Present of Shinagawa, the Waterfront Town】

【2025 : The 7th Walking Tour Held】
Date and Time: Sunday, January 19th, 9:00 - 12:00
Course: Departure from Shinagawa-shuku guesthouse & tours → Walk along the old Tokaido road → Calligraphy Experience → Return to Shinagawa-shuku guesthouse & tours

The owner of our guesthouse, “Taka-san,” explained the old Tokaido Street, “Kujira-zuka,” and the Ebara Shrine, while we walked around the town.
After that, we had a calligraphy experience at “Shokyo-in”.
Each of them chose a Chinese character they wanted to write and practiced. At the end, they wrote them on colored paper to complete their works.

【2025年:第7回ウォーキングツアーを開催しました】

コース: 品川宿ゲストハウス&ツアーズ出発→旧東海道街歩き→書鏡院→品川宿ゲストハウス&ツアーズ戻り

ゲストハウスのオーナータカさんの解説で、旧東海道や鯨塚、荏原神社の話を聞きながら、街歩きをしました。
そのあとは、書鏡院さんで書道に挑戦！皆さんが書きたい漢字を選び、練習。最後は色紙に書いて、作品を完成させました。
参加してくださった皆様、ありがとうございました！

次回のツアーもお楽しみに！

【Try calligraphy in Shinagawa!!】

【2024→2025 ! : The 6th Walking Tour Held】
Date and Time: Tuesday, December 31st, 23:00 - Wednesday, January 1st, 1:00
Course: Departure from Shinagawa-shuku guesthouse & tours → Walk along the old Tokaido road → Hatsumode at Shinagawa Shrine → Return to Shinagawa-shuku guesthouse & tours

We left the guesthouse at 23:00 on New Year's Eve and welcomed 2025 at Shinagawa Shrine.
Around 9:00 p.m. on New Year's Eve, we also had New Year's Eve soba noodles at the guesthouse, experiencing a traditional Japanese way of spending New Year's Eve.
At Shinagawa Shrine, we were also able to see the “Otakiage”.
（Otakiage is a Japanese ritual burning ceremony held at temples or shrines to purify and release old or spiritually significant objects, such as amulets, talismans, or other items with sentimental value.）

Many people participated in this event, and we all enjoyed welcoming the year 2025 together!

コース: 品川宿ゲストハウス&ツアーズ出発→旧東海道街歩き→品川神社で年越し→品川宿ゲストハウス&ツアーズ戻り

12月31日23時にゲストハウスを出発し、品川神社で2025年を迎えました！
大晦日の21時頃には、ゲストハウスで年越しそばを食べ、日本の伝統的な大晦日の過ごし方も体験できました。
品川神社ではお焚き上げを間近で見ることができ、あっという間に新年に。

マレーシア、オーストラリア、アメリカ、シンガポール、熊本と、たくさんの方に参加いただき、みんなで楽しく2025年を迎えられました！
参加してくださった皆様、ありがとうございました！

This walking tour departs from our guesthouse at 23:00 on New Year's Eve and welcomes the New Year at Shinagawa Shrine.
Why don't you start a wonderful new year at the historical Shinagawa Shrine?

Our guesthouse will also serve New Year's Eve soba noodles in the common room after 9pm. (In Japan, it is traditional to eat soba on New Year's Eve.) If you have time, please join us to eat soba and go to Shinagawa Shrine!

Course: Departure from Shinagawa-shuku guesthouse & tours → Walk along the old Tokaido road → Enjoy the Ukiyoe Immersive Art Exhibition → Return to Shinagawa-shuku guesthouse & tours

We went to the Ukiyoe Immersive Art Exhibition in Tennoz to experience Japanese art culture.
We walked around Shinagawa, which was the location of Ukiyoe's “53 Stages of the Tokaido” painted by Hiroshige Utagawa, on our way to the exhibition site.

天王洲・寺田倉庫 G1ビルで開催中の「動き出す浮世絵展」に行きました。
道中は、歌川広重の「東海道五拾三次品川日之出」の舞台になったと言われる場所を歩きながら会場へ。
日本の伝統的なアートと現代の技術を融合させたアートを楽しみました。

【Explore historic tokaido town & Ukiyoe Exhibition tour🌊】

[2024: 4th Walking Tour Held]

Course:
Departure from Guest House Shinagawa-shuku → Walk along the Old Tokaido → Sushi-making experience → Return to Guest House Shinagawa-shuku

Starting from the Old Tokaido, we made a detour to the Kujirazuka (Whale Mound) and interviewed local shop owners to hear about the town’s history, giving participants a little taste of Shinagawa through a street-walking tour.

We then headed to Aoi Sushi, located in Aomonoyokocho.
First, Mr. Hayashi gave us a lesson on how to properly shape sushi, after which everyone got to try it for themselves. Everyone was so focused that no one spoke during the experience.
Finally, it was time to eat! The sushi we made ourselves was absolutely delicious!

【2024年:第4回ウォーキングツアーを開催しました】

コース:ゲストハウス品川宿出発→旧東海道街歩き→寿司作り体験→ゲストハウス品川宿戻り

旧東海道から始まり、鯨塚に寄り道をしたり、まちの店主さんにインタビューをして町の歴史をきいたりと
品川を少し感じる街歩きツアーでした。

青物横丁にある葵寿司さんへ。
初めに、林さんから寿司の握り方のレクチャーをいただき、その後各自で体験。
誰も話さないくらい集中していました。
そして、やっと実食！自分で握ったお寿司は絶品！

今後もツアーを開催いたしますので、是非ご参加ください！
