URGENT! Friends in Samburu and beyond. Please help STOP TRUMP from changing the Endangered Species Act. They're trying to change the meaning of "harm" to remove protection of habitat. This is the # 1 most important aspect for protection and removing it would be devastating for many species. Please go to their Insta Page linkin.bio/racingextinction and "Defend the ESA" to sign the petition and submit a public comment. Please help. Deadline is 19th May. See below.

Am about to hit the West Coast, USA, to attend several screening events of “A Life Among Elephants”, the award winning, exquisitely filmed and very moving account of my father’s lifelong battle to save Africa’s elephants with the amazing team of elephant champions from Samburu and across Africa, that he trained and inspired along the way.

Am so very proud to be representing the family in Sonoma, San Francisco, Santa Barbara and San Diego this coming week with David Daballen and Frank Pope from Save the Elephants

Come join us to experience this remarkable story and celebrate the life Dr. Iain Douglas-Hamilton - the world’s foremost elephant scientist - whose groundbreaking research and profound understanding of African elephants continues to inspire us all to change the world for the better, today! 💚🐘💚

How wonderful that we have a national holiday next Monday to plant trees!

So let’s keep them indigenous and think about what’s best for the habitat of north Kenya.

Our favourite tree for sagaram, Acacia tortilis, would be my top choice. This tree has so many uses and provides critical feed for animals in the dry season. If you pick the seeds out of elephant dung they have a better chance a germinating. Happy planting!!
