HOSPITALITY OPERATIONS MANAGER
Our small hospitality business in Diani focuses on creating a welcoming, cozy and comfortable atmosphere for our guests. We are looking for an Operation Manager to provide exceptional personalized guest experiences and manage daily operations efficiently with support from a staff of 4. The ideal candidate is personable, highly organized, dependable, exceptional customer relations and front office management experience in Hospitality.
KEY DUTIES:
âGuest Relations- Providing an exeptional guest experience, including prompt responses to online and offline guest inquiries, providing guests with pre-arrival information, assistance with concierge services, promptly resolving guest complaints and de-escalating issues, ensuring smooth check-in and check-out, analyzing and responding to guest feedback, constantly evaluating and improving on the guest experience.
âMarketing Social Media channels (FB, IG, WhatsApp, Google, Tiktok)-Promoting the business online using Digital Marketing tools for content creation, campaigns and tracking performance in FB, IG, Tiktok, WhatsApp, Google.
âMarketing & Managing OTA channels (Booking.com, AirBnB, etc)-Managing property listings including bookings, rates, room inventory, policies, communications, evaluating channel performance, optimizing revenues using recommended channel performance boosters and cultivating good reviews.
âOperations- Overseeing housekeeping, security, maintenance operations and ensuring guest accommodations are maintained to top notch standards, amenities are operational, repairs and preventative maintenance are addressed promptly and staff
âAdministrative-Accurate record keeping, bookings, guest invoicing, guest payments, expenses, balancing petty cash, updating inventory, bill payments, managing supplies.
âCompliance- Complying with national and local government permits & lincensing requirements- NEMA, NHIF, NSSF, Tourism, County Health, Labour.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
âDegree/Higher Diploma in Hospitality, Tourism or Digital Marketing
â3 years minimum proven experience in hospitality management
âExceptional customer relationship management skills
âHighly organized, self-motivated and excellent at multitasking
âExcellent communication skills, both verbal and written
âExcellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
âBasic bookkeeping and attentive to details
âGood computer skills and good at learning new technologies/tools
âKnowledge of onsite maintenance/repairs and working with contractors
