Kenya has some excellent promising areas for off road mountain biking. Cycling is such an enjoyable sport because you get to burn calories while exploring and sightseeing, plus de-stress and bond with friends. As the popularity of the sport increases, more and more mountain bikes are now for hire, and there is plenty of undiscovered country for bush biking.

Cycling and Mountain biking can take place in forest trails, the highways, national parks and beaches. For roads and some trails, racing bikes will do but its best to have a mountain bike for most off-road cycling since most roads are rough and will take a toll on racing bikes. The aim of these safaris is to reduce the travel time from one destination to the other and give you more time to do game drive. These are safaris where you fly from the Wilson Airport to the different parks in the country or between parks using light planes or aircraft like Cessna Grand Caravans, the workhorse plane, twin Otters and Dash 7 planes that can take off and land on the short airstrips located in National Parks and game reserves.

Some of the local airline flying to the parks are Fly540, Airkenya Express, Safarilink Aviation, Skyward Express, Silverstone Air. Mombasa Air flies from Mombasa, Ukunda and Malindi airports to Mara, Amboseli and Tsavo and offers a direct flight from Mara to Amboseli and Tsavo West and vice versa. This is about Amboseli National park which has an endless underground water supply filtered through thousands of feet of volcanic rock from Kilimanjaro’s ice cap, which funnel into two clear water springs in the heart of the park.
However, the climatic pendulum can swing from drought to flood, and in the early 1990’s ceaseless rain changed Amboseli into a swamp. A few years later the rains failed and the grass-covered plains turned to dust.
Amboseli is 39,206 hectares (392 km2; 151 sq. mi) in size at the core of an 8,000 square kilometers (3,100 sq. mi) ecosystem that spreads across the Kenya-Tanzania border and is famous for being the best place in Africa to get close to free-ranging elephants among other wildlife species.

Nairobi National Park
Nairobi National Game Park is a unique ecosystem by being the only protected area in the world close to a capital city. Located just 7kms from Nairobi’s city centre, Nairobi National Park is the perfect place for a half-day or full day excursion or Tour from the Kenyan capital. Nairobi National Park Kenya’s first ever National park is a unique and unspoilt wildlife haven within sight of the city’s skyline. Rhino, buffalo, cheetah, zebra, giraffe, lion and plenty of antelopes and gazelles can be seen roaming in this open plains country with a section of highland forest as well as stretches of broken bush country, deep, rocky valleys and gorges with scrub and long grass.

DAY TRIP TO LAKE NAIVASHA.
On this beautiful morning at 0700hrs, you will be picked by one of our trusted driver guide at the agreed meet up point and drive to lake Naivasha via the southern bypass.
On arrival, you will get a chance to see the animals. They include the Zebras, hippos by the lake among others.
You will have a chance to engage yourself in some activities such as cycling as you watch the animals, a visit to the Olkaria spa so as to relax. You may also have a boat ride on the lake as you enjoy the environment.
Lake Naivasha is known to have a small population of flamingos, if you are lucky you will see some.
You will have your lunch at the picnic site after your game drive. In the afternoon you will have a tour of the famous hell’s gate. From its name you will find some places named the devils kitchen and the devils bedroom.
In the evening you will be dropped off at the agreed meet up point.
