The leopards known as chui in Swahili is popularly known for their incredible tree climbing ability.Mostly found in the dense acacia forests they are frequently spotted carrying prey into trees to avoid hyenas.Leopards are known to be shy animals making it hard to be spotted however with an experienced tour guide you can be guaranteed of a sighting.The maasai mara is known to be a great location for sighting the leopard offering a great spot for photography.

Lion cubs are born blind and are nurtured by their mother and other lionesses in the pride interestingly also suckling from other females.Though protected from prides,cubs face high mortality rates from predators, territorial fights and occasionally from large birds.Cubs are often observed playing, wrestling and tumbling in the grass usually at dawn or dusk when the lions are active. The cubs are easily spotted within the savanna plains of the mara ecosystem.
