New from D23 for Disneyland!

🚀 TOMORROWLAND IS BEING REIMAGINED
Tomorrowland at Disneyland is getting a major transformation!
• New attractions
• More open spaces
• New experiences focused on innovation and the future
• Redesign will honor the original Tomorrowland while bringing the land into a new generation

No attraction lineup or opening date yet — so there is still A LOT left to reveal. 👀

🌼 COCO — FIRST-EVER COCO RIDE

Coming to DCA!

• the boat ride takes place one year after the original movie
• Guests enter through a “casa museo” dedicated to Héctor Rivera
• You’ll travel through Miguel’s memories of the Land of the Dead
• Disney is taking inspiration from classics like Pirates of the Caribbean and Haunted Mansion
• NO height requirement — designed for the entire family
• Construction is already underway near Pixar Pier and Paradise Gardens

And Disney is even working with Pixar so the attraction can include connections to Coco 2. 🌼💀

🦸 AVENGERS CAMPUS IS DOUBLING IN SIZE
We finally have an opening year: 2028!
Two major new attractions are coming:

⚔️ Avengers Infinity Defense

Guests will be recruited by Ms. Marvel to help reassemble the Avengers and fight King Thanos across multiple worlds.
The attraction will take guests through locations including:
• Wakanda
• Asgard
• New York City

🚀 Stark Flight Lab
Guests will ride in two-person gyro-kinetic pods that move along a track before being grabbed by giant robotic arms for an Iron Man-style flight-training experience.

Returns February 2027
The classic Disneyland nighttime spectacular is getting refreshed with projections on:
• Sleeping Beauty Castle

An updated version of the original World of Color returns to DCA in February 2027.

D23 2026 — HUGE Walt Disney World Updates! ✨

Disney dropped a TON of news this weekend about what’s coming to Disney World. Here are the biggest announcements:

😈 MAGIC KINGDOM — VILLAINS LAND
• Villains Land is officially taking shape beyond Frontierland.
• A major Maleficent-themed roller coaster will race through enchanted briars.
• A second attraction will take guests into the mystical world of the Magic Mirror, surrounded by Disney Villains.
• The land’s story centers around a cursed forest, a broken Wishing Well and villains harnessing dark magic.
• Disney is calling this a massive new addition unlike anything currently in Magic Kingdom.

🚗 MAGIC KINGDOM — PISTON PEAK
• The new Cars-themed area gets TWO attractions.
• Cars Ridge Run Rally will race through mountain trails, snowy peaks and erupting geysers with Lightning McQueen and Mater.
• Miss Fritter’s Daredevil Spin-Along brings the demolition derby star from Cars 3 into her own attraction.

🎠 CAROUSEL OF PROGRESS
• A refreshed version arrives in late spring 2027.
• Jamie Lee Curtis and Bryan Cranston will voice the attraction’s mom and dad.
• Disney also showed off an updated 1980s scene.

🌳 ANIMAL KINGDOM — TROPICAL AMERICAS
🐍 Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent
• An entirely new Indiana Jones story.
• Indy explores an ancient Maya temple filled with supernatural dangers and a gigantic mythical serpent.
• Harrison Ford is involved, with his likeness being used for Indiana Jones in the attraction.

🌺 Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto
• Guests will actually enter Casita.
• The story takes place on Antonio’s gift day.
• We’ll explore brand-new rooms created specifically for the attraction along with Antonio, his animals and the Madrigal family.

🏔️ EXPEDITION EVEREST
THE YETI IS FINALLY GETTING FIXED! 😂
Disney officially announced that the legendary Expedition Everest Yeti Audio-Animatronic will roar to life again.

👹 HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS — MONSTROPOLIS
Opening 2027!
• A full Monsters, Inc. land.
• Mike and Sulley will appear in a new theater show.
• Visit locations including Harryhausen’s.
• Grab pizza at Archie’s Scare Pig Pizza.
• The land will feature an original song from Disney Legend Randy Newman.
• And of course, Disney’s previously announced suspended Monsters, Inc. coaster is coming with it.

🌐 EPCOT — SPACESHIP EARTH
• Spaceship Earth is getting its first major story update in nearly 20 years.
• The attraction will expand beyond the history of communication to focus on the broader idea of human connection.
• Disney says the optimism and spirit of the attraction will remain.

🌈 EPCOT — FIGMENT + DREAMFINDER
Possibly the biggest surprise for old-school EPCOT fans…

DREAMFINDER IS COMING BACK!

Disney announced that Figment and Dreamfinder will embark on a new journey into imagination at EPCOT. 👀

I highly recommend accomplishing your New Year’s resolution in the beginning of January, pressure’s off for the rest of the year!
I did the rundisney 5&10k and can say I highly recommend. Sure, you’re paying to get up at 3am and run but it’s surprisingly worth it! You get to run through the parks before they open, there’s characters out, and you get a serious sense of accomplishment!
