Sunset lovers will agree with me, that not all sunsets are the same. Landscapes and vegetation will determine the taste of each sunset. Some are Magic.
This was at the Ziwani Voyager safari camp where that orange color lands on water to give out shiny reflections. It's like a drawing, like a Dreamland.
And birds chirping all over as they prepare to settle back to their nests atop acasia trees.

My Office in the Wild

Most people imagine an office as a space with walls, desks, and ticking clocks. Mine has no walls. My ceiling is the sky—sometimes blue and endless, sometimes heavy with storms. My desk is the savannah, dotted with elephants and crowned by acacia trees. This is my workplace: the national parks of Kenya.

To be a tour guide is to live in constant awe. I remember one morning in Tsavo when we set out before dawn. The air was cold, the world still wrapped in silence. As the first light broke, we spotted a pride of Lions stroll at a discount. My guests had just just protested to photograph sunrise but wanted animals! In seconds, the whole family was whispering loudly 'lions! Lions.. What a sighting all by ourselves, the daughters saw lions for their first time in their lives. My heart pounded as if I were the lions, and when when we had enough of it, I turned to see my guests wide-eyed, speechless. That moment—when nature writes a story that no words can capture—is why I love this work. We'd later go for breakfast before embarking on a mid-morning game drive. We drove to River Galana to see hippos and crocodiles. I was over the moon when the Dad said: Absolutely Beautiful! See

But behind the magic lies a truth few outsiders ever see. The days are long, starting before sunrise and ending well after dark. Hours of driving over rough roads leave my body sore and my mind heavy. Guests arrive with expectations as high as the sky—lions on every corner, elephants posing by the roadside, dramatic hunts like on TV. Yet the wild doesn’t follow scripts. There are days when lions vanish into the bush, or elephants remain hidden in the thick forests. I carry the weight of their disappointment, even though I know nature cannot be commanded.

There are the struggles of the job itself: a punctured tire miles away from camp, a starter hicap in the middle of nowhere. I have to push through fatigue while still smiling for my guests. Inside, am drained; outside, am the calm voice guiding them through the wilderness.
