Earth Day 2025 | Our Power, Our Planet 🌍✈️

This year’s theme calls on the world to triple renewable energy generation by 2030, and here in Kenya, we’re proud to see real progress already taking place.

This Earth Day we highlight an incredible sight seen from our adventures to the Northern parts of Kenya and Lake Turkana and whether you are flying over or visiting Koros Camp you cannot fail to be amazed by the powerful sweep of 365 turbines at the Lake Turkana Wind Power Project, supplying nearly 17% of Kenya’s installed capacity with clean, renewable energy.

Situated in Marsabit County, this is Africa’s largest wind farm, and more than just a power source. Through its Winds of Change initiative, LTWP continues to invest in sustainable community development across Laisamis Constituency, improving livelihoods while protecting the environment.
