KENYA WILDLIFE SUCCESS STORY.....

On February 23, 2025, Kenya received 17 critically endangered mountain bongos (12 females, 5 males) from the Rare Species Conservatory Foundation (RSCF) in Florida, USA, as part of a landmark repatriation effort to boost the wild population, which currently numbers fewer than 100. The animals were transported to a specialized sanctuary in Mount Kenya for breeding and eventual rewilding, marking a major milestone in reversing the species' decline.
The Mount Kenya Wildlife Conservancy celebrated a major conservation milestone in January 2026 with the birth of its 100th mountain bongo calf.
