Mount Ololokwe (known as Ol Donyo Sabache) is located on Namunyak Conservancy in Samburu East and is around 2000m above sea level at its peak. It is the sacred mountain of the Samburu and is deemed to be the home of God. It’s about 340kms from Nairobi, through Nanyuki and Isiolo.

The sense of wonder is inspired by the scenery that lies before you, from the vantage-point of the giant cliffs at the edge of the mountain. The cliffs overlook the rugged view of the Samburu plains and the world beyond. And there is more.

From Ololokwe's peaks, everything below appears tiny; the long tarmac road from Archer's Post towards northern Kenya looks like a bold dark line on a map, or a silhouette of a giant snake hiding its head behind boulders, and the cars seem like moving toys on a model town board.

The sheer vertical drop from the ledge to the valley below is frightening, and could possibly inspire height-induced vertigo — that dizzying feeling that people get when they are in an open space far off the ground.

A visit to the table like Mount Ololokwe will leave you mesmerised, not just from the towering table-like mountain, but also the surrounding environment composed of panoramic views, dramatic hills and beautiful landscapes at the forefront of the Mount Ololokwe backdrop.

Mida Creek is a broadwater tidal creek surrounded by extensive mangroves and lined with palms. The Creek is a natural entrance in the coast about 5 km deep south of Watamu which stands out from the surrounding nature for a completely different fauna and flora creating a unique ecosystem.

Mida Creek has been designated by UNESCO as Biosphere Reserve, because it is here that one of the largest mangrove ecosystems in the world is preserved: there are nine types, with thirty-three species of algae. With the Arabuko Sokoke forest, Mida Creek has been designated the second largest ornithological reserve in Africa.

Mida Creek is also home for many fish species and a feeding site for sea turtles.
Moreover it has been designated by UNESCO as Bird International Zone, sixty-five species of birds live there, some are settled other are nomads, storks, herons and other migratory birds.

It’s better to explore Mida by boat, on a cruise through the creek while the sun goes down. If you are interested in kayak the creek is the perfect place with endless small channels and passages through the mangroves to explore where kingfishers hunt in the shallow waters and fish eagles perch in the overhead trees.

From Ksh 21,000 per person sharing for 3 days and 2 nights, travel with us to this natural marvel located at the Kenyan Coast.

Surrounded by grassy banks and shingled with cacti and sand olive trees, Lake Naivasha boosts the unrivalled tag of being at the highest elevation of the Rift Valley (at 1,884 metres).

The freshwater lake derives its name from the Maasai name Nai’posha which means rough water because of the sudden storm which can arise.
Lake Naivasha is fed by the perennial Malewa and Gilgil rivers. There is no visible outlet, but since the lake water is fresh it is assumed to have an underground outflow. There are two smaller lakes near Lake Naivasha; Lake Oloiden and Lake Sonachi which is a green crater lake.

It is home to a variety of wildlife including over 400 different species of bird and a huge population of hippopotamus. Lesser and greater flamingos flock to the lake, forming a wash of bright pink across the lake's surface.

Giraffes, zebras, impalas, and waterbucks can be sighted in the immediate vicinity of Lake Naivasha, around Crescent Island, Crater Lake Game Sanctuary, and Longonot National Park. Lucky adventurers may even glimpse a leopard.

Easily accessible from Nairobi, the lake is a refreshing day trip or weekend break from Kenya’s busy capital.

Nyiri Desert, also called The Nyika, or Taru desert, desert lies about 80 km east of Lake Magadi and near the northern border of Tanzania. The desert encompasses the Amboseli National Park, including the northern half of Lake Amboseli. Nairobi National Park lies at its northern extreme and Tsavo West National Park at its southern extreme.
Parts of the desert have dense growths of small trees, many of them thorny and some of them poisonous. Game trails are marked among them. During the brief rainy season the trees have green leaves and flowers, but during the dry season they are bare and entwined by grayish green creepers and the hornlike fronds of prickly euphorbia.
Water is scarce except in a few large springs and widely spaced riverbeds. Rocky hills, which overlie much older rocks, dot the plain. Baobab trees are found in the desert, some as old as two thousand years, their gray boles often as much as 10 feet in diameter.
Fauna includes elephant, giraffe, rhinoceros, lion, leopard, lesser kudu, and impala.
Nyiri desert offers marvelous opportunities for adventurous safaris, game viewing, nature treks, photography and camping.
