You know we miss you, Rebecca and Ave. ❤️

This trip was special in so many ways. Ave, your very first time in Africa… seeing the Big Five, taking in those endless landscapes, and then Rebecca, completely melting every time we came across a tiny baby animal. 😄

Then there was meeting Baraka at Ol Pejeta, a moment that means even more now knowing he sadly passed away a few weeks ago. Seeing how excited you both were whenever we drove past children in their little school uniforms. The strength you showed trekking through Bwindi to finally stand face to face with the mountain gorillas, which I know became one of the biggest highlights of the whole journey.

But what touched us most was what happened beyond the safari. You saw those children in Bwindi, felt their need, and decided to do something about it, raising funds for a water tank for their school. That says so much about the kind of people you are.

I could go on and on about this trip. But seeing you both leave Africa with those big smiles, hearts full and so many stories to take home… that meant just as much to us.

Because for us, it has never only been about showing people Africa. It is about creating journeys that stay with you long after the plane takes off.

Asante sana, Rebecca and Ave. You came as guests and somehow left as family. ❤️

Some animals don't just live in a sanctuary; they shape its soul. 🦏

We are deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Baraka, Ol Pejeta’s legendary blind black rhino, at the age of 31. From being one of the very first black rhinos born on the conservancy to becoming a global symbol of resilience, his journey touched countless hearts.

Though blindness brought new challenges, the dedicated care of the rangers and veterinary teams ensured he lived a full, protected life as an ambassador for his species.

His name means "blessing" in Swahili, and for the rangers, caretakers, and visitors who crossed his path, that is exactly what he was. He showed us the softer, deeply personal side of conservation and reminded us why protecting these magnificent creatures matters so much.

Rest easy, Baraka. Your legacy lives on in every effort to protect Africa's wildlife.
