From our initial Zoom call with Imran, we immediately felt comfortable. He completely understood what we wanted to achieve and the exact standard of accommodation we expected. Imran put us right at ease and made all the perfect recommendations for our itinerary. The personalized care started the second we arrived—the moment we landed in Nairobi, he personally came to meet us and briefed us on our upcoming tour.

You truly learn the character of a company when things don't go perfectly. Unfortunately, I got sick just a day into our trip. Imran and his wife, Shifana, immediately jumped into action. They went completely out of their way to ensure I was thoroughly taken care of at the Aga Khan University Hospital. Their responsiveness and genuine care turned a stressful situation into a massive relief.

Imran’s destination and lodging suggestions were absolutely spot on across the entire journey:

They even went the extra mile to arrange a deeply meaningful visit for us to see a beautiful piece of history at one of our oldest places of worship in Africa.

As for the wildlife—we were incredibly fortunate to see all of the Big Five and so much more! Our safari driver, Ben, was absolutely amazing and used his incredible expertise to ensure we crossed every single one off our bucket list.

Throughout the entire trip, Imran stayed in constant touch with us, checking in regularly to ensure every single need was met. He, Shifana, and their entire team truly went above and beyond.

In one word: Excellent!

We would like to share with you our wonderful experience with Best Camping Tours and Safaris Ltd

It started already at home: Planning our Safari from there, we had a quite a few open questions remaining.

Within a few hours after our first written contact, we had a long initial telephone conversion with Imraan, in which we exchanged ideas (given the time constraints we had: pros and cons of visiting more/less parks, which places should we visit, what is covered in the fee etc…) From the beginning we saw that Imraan has a wealth of experience, felt that he is really listened to us to adjust the schedule wherever possible.

Finally we agreed on a 6 days safari (3 days Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Lake Elementaita, Lake Naivasha).

On the day prior to departure, we had another longer phone call with Imraan, in which he gave us a precise briefing on what to expect every day of the safari.

Mohammed, our driver and guide, was so knowledgeable, patient, and kind. He is an excellent and careful driver. He knows so well the places where to find the animal in the parks, and could name all the birds we saw, amazing! We thoroughly enjoyed the many many hours of game drive and approaching the dozens of different animals species.

The team at the Masai Mara camp welcomed us with such a kind hospitality and great sense of humor. Thank you for taking so good care of us!

It has been a marvelous and unforgettable journey for us. We had quite a few expectations, they were by far exceeded! We highly recommend Imraan and his team. We hope to able to come back another time and for sure, we will call nobody else than Best Camping Tours!

Are zebras black with white stripes or white with black stripes?

Zebras are black with white stripes. We know this is because even though they have black and white fur, a zebra’s skin is black. If you shaved a zebra it would be almost completely black! You would hardly recognize it.
