The tourism industry will humble you fast. 😅

Last night, a student group landed at JKIA at night after the strike kicked off early. Called TRA to get es**rt they sent us to KTF? Then KTF said the police were overwhelmed. Fair enough.... Meanwhile, we had students arriving for a long safari and zero room for excuses.
Clock ticking. Reputation on the line.
So we did what tour operators do best: adapt under pressure..We went full Mission: Impossible.

Our team slipped into the airport at night, intercepted the students, grabbed the bags, and vanished into the night. By Midnight, they were safely tucked in their Nairobi beds completely clueless.

Before sunrise, they were on the move again. Cruisers rolling out while I stared at the GPS like a hawk.Then one vehicle stopped dead in Ruiru.

My heart left my body. 😭

I called the tour guide shaking

"Boss, all good. Just a quick pit stop."

Wueeh. Relief. 😂

Today the students are happily enjoying the conservancy, completely unaware of the operation that got them there.

People see tourism and think vacations, dollars, and pretty sunsets. What they don’t see is the sleepless nights, pressure, and near-heart attacks behind the scenes.

Tourism looks glamorous from the outside. Behind the scenes? Pure adrenaline.

So when tour operators say this business is not for the faint-hearted… believe us.
