Leopard mother with 4-month-old cub. Leopard’s tend to lie up in cover during the daytime - either among rocky outcrops, acacia bushes and croton thickets, or up in trees. They survive by avoiding being seen.

Cubs can climb quite well by three months old, which is a great help in keeping them safe from competitors. Leopards are such adaptable predators - and scavengers - that can kill many species of animals, who are quick to alarm whenever a leopard is seen. Those alarm calls are likely to draw the attention of lions and hyenas who would then try to steal any kill the leopard might make.

The leopard’s ability to carry food up into trees allows it to feast for a number of days rather than risking losing the kill when feeding on the ground.

This Earth Day, we’re celebrating one of the most extraordinary places on our planet: the Amboseli ecosystem.

Here, beneath the watchful gaze of Mount Kilimanjaro, the pulse of the natural world still beats strong. Elephants amble as ancient guardians across vast open plains, giraffes reach slowly for the tops of acacia trees, and the roar of lions carries on the wind at night. If it sounds like a cliché, that’s because it is. Amboseli is that place you imagine when you think of Africa.

But the true heart of Amboseli is not just its wildlife—it's also the people. The Maasai communities who live here are deeply connected to this land. Many serve as Big Life rangers, protecting wildlife, resolving human-wildlife conflict, and ensuring that conservation is not something done to communities, but with them.

On Earth Day as with every day, we are reminded that protecting nature means protecting people too. When people thrive, so does the planet.

Here’s to the magic of Amboseli—and to the shared journey of caring for the only Earth we have.

We are thrilled to share with you the feedback below from our client

The trip you coordinated for us was first-class! The accommodations, travel segments by vehicle and air, and tour guides were great. The itinerary was easily adjusted when required.

The safaris and accommodations were fantastic! They got better as we went along and our two favourites were Ol Pejeta Conservancy and Entim Private Camp for accommodations.

Ol Pejeta was unique in so many ways. Having the watering hole so close gave us access to seeing many animals without having to leave our tents!

We enjoyed the Samburu Game Reserve as this is where we saw our first lions and their kill the next morning! We experienced so many elephants and camels in this reserve.

The experience of the Mara was well worth the time. The Entim Private Camp was beautiful with top level tents. The fact that there was no fences was slightly unnerving but amazing when you realized the hippos moved at nightfall right by the tents.

Zubeida Resort, Diani was fantastic and the location was beautiful. The beach was wonderful and the warmth was welcome. Thank you for the suggestion!

I wish to thank you for your professionalism and time. We truly enjoyed our first visit to Africa and Kenya in particular.

I have been recommending your agency to others when asked.
