Did you know about the purple roller..It is the largest of the rollers birds.
Its preferred. Habitat is dry thornveld where it spends long period perched at the top of the thorn trees.

The species seems to be an opportunist breeder, possibly linked to rains as it's breeding season varies from place to place.it nest is natural hollows in trees or uses old woodpecker holes. Usually laying three white eggs. The young are fed and incubated by both parents.
