In honour of world-marathon record-holder Eliud Kipchoge, President Uhuru Kenyatta issued a directive for the construction of a multi-million Library at the athlete’s home village of Kapsisisywa, Nandi Country. Kipchoge made history after becoming the first-ever athlete to run a marathon under two hours – clocking 1:59:40 at the INEOS 1:59 Challenge staged in Vienna, Austria.

Blink Studio Ltd took the initiative to design a spectacular library as part of our corporate social responsibility (CSR).

The facades were designed to symbolize;
a) Athletes running, their legs abstracted to form columns at irregular intervals and angles
b) Books arranged in a shelf have been abstracted to form the vertical sun shading elements painted in a variety of colours

Designed as “an inspiring place for gathering, learning and discovery”.

We are proud to be part of the upcoming Anderson affordable housing project that will be developed by Laptrust and the County Pension Fund (CPF), in collaboration with the County Government of Kisumu and the Affordable Housing Secretariat under the Big 4 Agenda.
The Project will see a complete renewal of the 63 year old Anderson Estate providing dignified facilities to the people, giving the former residents priority in buying the new units.

The project entails 1394 units comprising of shops, one bedroom and three bedrooms respectively, with an entry price of KES.1.5M.

60% of the seven-acre parcel of land will remain green for recreation.

THE UN/TNH COVID-19 HOSPITAL OFFICIAL LAUNCH

In a bid to combat the COVID-19 pandemic, The United Nations Office in Nairobi and The Nairobi Hospital, partnered to create a facility that will cater for UN workers and their family members in Africa. The UN’s Africa headquarters is situated in Nairobi, with other offices in the rest of the continent. The facility will also accept non-UN patients.

Having broken ground on 20th July 2020 for the 150-bed specialized COVID-19 hospital, as project managers & hospital planners, we are delighted to have the project completed in less than 100 days.

The Nairobi Hospital has partnered with the United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON) to construct a
150 bed capacity Covid-19 hospital to serve both the UN staff together with their families and
Kenyans at large.

SCOPE OF SERVICES:
Blink Studio is offering Hospital Planning and Management services to the Hospital in regards to;
a) Conversion of the old nursing of school into a COVID-19 Hospital.
b) Construction of a new 100 bed capacity COVID-19 Hospital

The ground breaking ceremony was held today 20/07/2020 at 10.00 a.m. The following dignitaries
graced the occasion:
 Honorable Rachel Omamo, the Cabinet Secretary for Foreign Affairs
 Dr. Rashid Abdi Aman, Chief Administrative Secretary for Ministry of Health
 UNON DG Madam Zainab Hawa Bangura
 Dr. Allan Pamba, CEO The Nairobi Hospital
The project is expected to be completed in 28no. Days.
