There’s something unspoken that happens deep in the heart of Africa.

The sun was barely rising over the savannah—a soft orange glow blanketing the wild. We were somewhere in Masai Mara, just after dawn, with the dew still fresh on the grass and the air filled with birdsong.

Our guide stopped the jeep quietly. "Lions," he whispered.
There they were—a pride of seven. Not just shadows, but golden rulers of the land. One lioness looked straight into our eyes. Not afraid. Just aware. She saw us.
