UGANDA HAS DECLARED THE END OF THE EBOLA OUTBREAK

Uganda's health minister declared the country Ebola-free on Tuesday ​following the East African nation's latest outbreak of the viral haemorrhagic ‌disease that infected 20 people and killed two of them.

We organize daily visits to David Sheldrick’s Elephant Orphanage, with advance booking, for an opportunity to meet and interact with the orphaned elephant babies as they come for their mud-bathe and feeding between 11.00am and 12.00pm.

David Sheldrick’s Elephant Orphanage is a renowned conservation initiative famous for rescuing orphaned and/or at-risk baby elephants and raising/providing specialized care for them until they are grown and well enough to be reintroduced back into the wild. Recently the project has expanded to rhinos and other species as well as conservation, anti-poaching, a field out-post in Voi on the edge of Tsavo East National Park, eco-Lodges and community out-reach.

Our Airport Meet&Greet crews are always on standby whether day or night to welcome our guests upon arrival at the airport in Africa destination countries. Because of airports security controls, we meet guests at the airport Arrivals Section just outside the baggage hall after they clear immigration, customs and fetch their bags. For ease of identification, our representatives will have a clear banner with our company logo and the main name of our guests, family or group. You can never miss to know us. We also, in advance, provide guests with a Telephone Number to call in the unlikely event that we miss each other. On special request and small fee, we can organise a special representative to meet guests inside the airport or on the tarmac to guide and assist through with immigration and customs formalities then deliver guests to our Driver/Guides outside Arrivals. You will then be guided to the Car Park area where your bags are loaded into the vehicle and you are transferred to your pre-booked City Hotel or proceed on safari as had been planned.

We advise our guests to prepare well for arrival to avoid any inconvenience by ensuring passports, visas, any vaccinations requirements are in order at-least some weeks before arrival.

**NEW** FUEL SURCHARGE FOR DOMESTIC FLIGHTS
As the US & Israel vs Iran war and the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz continues to disrupt the global fuel supply, we are experiencing continued increase in the price of all types of petrol-chemical fuels including jet-fuel.

As a consequence, almost all our domestic flights operators, in all countries from Tanzania, Uganda, Botswana, Kenya and others have announced varying amounts of Fuel Surcharges to cushion themselves from the unexpected increases in jet fuel.

The surcharges announced range from 15 to 30% of applicable ticket prices and apply for all bookings done and/or ticketed after 17th April 2026. For the specific amount applicable for your particular booking, if your safari includes a domestic flight(s) kindly contact our reservations team on [email protected]

Although this is a still evolving situation, we are hopeful, but cannot at the moment guarantee, that this is the surcharge that will remain and there will be no changes in the near future. Should any such change arise however, we shall of course promptly let all our clients know.

Otherwise, we are routing for a quick resolution this conflict and end to the uncertainty.
