🌍 A day in nature can inspire a lifetime of conservation!
Our recent experiential learning trip to Ole Naishu Conservancy, Laikipia county, with 64 students and 6 teachers from our partner schools in Nanyuki gave the learners an opportunity to experience conservation beyond the classroom. From spotting elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, and vibrant birdlife on a game drive, to learning how livestock ranching can successfully coexist with wildlife, every moment became a practical lesson in sustainability and environmental stewardship.
The students also experienced the beauty of Kenya’s wild landscapes firsthand, sharing stories over a picnic lunch under acacia trees, navigating unexpected moments like a vehicle puncture😬, and ending the day with reflections and lessons back at Ndemu Primary School. Experiential conservation education helps young people build a deeper connection with nature, understand the importance of protecting biodiversity, and see themselves as future custodians of our environment.
💚 As we continue creating opportunities like these, we invite our community, partners, and supporters to keep investing in and nurturing the next generation of environmental stewards. Together, we can inspire young minds to protect the landscapes, wildlife, and the ecosystems that sustain us all.
