Before we saw Petra, Jordan made us wait for it. ๐Ÿ‡ฏ๐Ÿ‡ด

We started walking through the Siq, completely wowed by the narrow passage and the massive sandstone walls towering above us.

We kept walking, taking pictures, stopping every so often just to look up and take it all in.

And with every turn, there was that feelingโ€ฆ

Are we there yet?

Not quite.

The passage kept going and somehow the anticipation kept building.

Then, through a tiny opening between the rocks, we caught our first glimpse of Petra.

And suddenly, the walk made perfect sense.

Travel has a way of bringing people together, long before anyone boards a plane.

Last week, I had the opportunity to attend an event at the Ethiopian Embassy, courtesy of the Tour Operators Society of Kenya (TOSK). Tour Operators Society Of Kenya - TOSK

It was a pleasure listening to His Excellency General Bacha Debele Buta, the Ethiopian Ambassador to Kenya, as he spoke about the strong relationship between Kenya and Ethiopia and the opportunities that continue to bring our two countries closer.

The evening was also a beautiful reminder of what Ethiopia has to offer. From the energy of Addis Ababa to its rich culture, incredible cuisine and world-famous coffee, it's a destination that deserves a place on every traveller's list.

As a tour operator, moments like these matter. They help us understand destinations better, build meaningful relationships and continue creating experiences that our travellers will genuinely enjoy.

A big thank you to TOSK and the Embassy of Ethiopia for the warm invitation.
