Remember the photo I shared of the two snails? Well, here’s the truth… they weren’t fighting at all. 🐌💚
What you’re seeing is part of their mating dance. Snails are hermaphrodites — meaning each one has both male and female parts.
Before mating, they perform this slow, delicate ritual, touching and circling each other, almost like a romantic snail waltz.
It looks funny, but in the snail world, this is how life goes on. Nature always has a story if you stop and look closely.

🐾 The Wild Comeback of the Iberian Lynx

In 2001, only 62 Iberian lynxes were left in the wild.
Not 600. Not 160.
Sixty-two.
They were almost gone.
Road accidents, hunting, disappearing habitats, and even a rabbit crisis (yes, rabbits!) pushed them to the edge of extinction.
But people didn’t quit.
Breeding centers were built. Habitats were protected. Rabbits were reintroduced.
And get this—they even built special underpasses just for lynxes to safely cross roads.
Fast-forward to today:
🐾 Over 2,000 lynxes now roam Spain and Portugal.
That’s 30× more than just two decades ago.
It’s one of the greatest wildlife recoveries ever.
Not because of luck—
But because people cared enough to act.
👉 Lesson?
When we give nature a chance… it fights back.
And sometimes, it wins.
