A few moments from our Ololo Farm Long Table Lunch

Such a great day sharing food, stories and a long table out on the farm.

Most of what we ate came from just a few hundred metres away — vegetables and herbs picked from the shamba that morning, along with our own pasture-raised chicken and free-range pork.

As Wendell Berry wrote, “Eating is an agricultural act.” It felt like a pretty good reminder of why we do what we do here.

A big thank you to Chef Jay Spenard and Nehal, who came all the way from Goa, India to spend the day with us. Jay cooked an incredible feast using what we’d grown and raised on the farm, while Nehal kept us going into the afternoon with some wonderful music.

And a big thanks to Dion Wines & Spirits EA for the w**e pairing and for being part of the day 🍷

Thank you to everyone who came along, sat around the table and shared the day with us. We had a lot of fun.

Meet Washington.

Washington has been part of the Ololo family since 2010, and over the years he has become an integral part of who we are.

His calmness, kindness and genuine love for wildlife shine through in every safari he leads. He has a wonderful way of making every experience feel special, from finding wildlife in the bush to simply enjoying a quiet moment in nature.

We are incredibly lucky to have had him with us for all these years.

This beautiful photo was taken by our lovely guests, Emily and Jamie, who spent some time with us at Ololo before continuing their journey to the Kenyan coast.

July was another month of incredible impact at the Ololo Foundation.

Together, we achieved:

•⁠ ⁠14 teacher salaries funded

•⁠ ⁠17 high school scholarships funded

•⁠ ⁠1 community rugby tournament funded

•⁠ ⁠Multiple chess tournament victories, including Best Performing School at the Kajiado Chess Qualifiers

•⁠ ⁠Clean water, rugby kits, food supplies, and stationery delivered to Naramat Community School

•⁠ ⁠Mentorship workshops reaching almost 100 students

•⁠ ⁠Weekly choir, rugby, chess, and arts programmes continuing across our partner schools
